The Mother Hen–A Symbol of God’s Love

A story is told of a fire in Scotland that destroyed the farm. In the aftermath of the fire, a farmer went into the barn to assess and make sense of what had happened. In the process, a farmer kicked one of the dead chickens and under the chicken wings were six live chickens the mother died protecting.

Another story is told of the forest fire that had been brought under control, and the group of firefighters were working back through the devastation making sure all the hot spots had been extinguished. As they marched across the blackened landscape between the wisps of smoke still rising from the smouldering remains, a large lump on the trail caught a firefighter’s eye.

As he got closer, he noticed it was the charred remains of a large bird, that had burned nearly halfway through. Since birds can so easily fly away from the approaching flames, the firefighter wondered what must have been wrong with this bird so that it could not escape. Had it been sick or injured?

Arriving at the carcass, he decided to kick it off the trail with his boot. As soon as he did, however, he was startled half to death by a flurry of activity around his feet. Four little birds flailed in the dust and ash then scurried away down the hillside.

The bulk of the mother’s body had covered them from the searing flames. Though the heat was enough to consume her, it allowed her babies to find safety underneath. In the face of the rising flames, she had stayed with her young. Her dead carcass and her fleeing chicks told the story well enough–she gave the ultimate sacrifice to save her young.

The lesson here is not all chicks can run to their mothers in times of danger. Some panic or try to find a way to save themselves and they get devoured. Worse still the mother hen cannot run around gathering them individually. They have to come to her. Most of the chicks that survive the attacks from cats and foxes stay close to their mother and all they have to do is run under their mother’s wings and they are covered.

The hen in the story was the only chance those chicks had for safety; she, being willing to spare her own life, had gathered them up under her wings to herself. At the point of terrible pain and death, when she might still have saved herself, she chose to stay through the ordeal. It is been noted that the “mother hen instinct” is a feeling that someone has, that they must “take care of somebody.” Anybody. A mother hen demonstrates behavioural habits that are different from a normal hen. Her priority shifts from her personal survival to protecting and ensuring the survival of her young. She puts her heart and soul into her chicks, educating them and protecting them from all predators. The Bible tells us:

At that very hour, some Pharisees came up and said to Him, “Leave and go away from here, because Herod Antipas wants to kill You.” And He said to them, “Go and tell that fox that sly, cowardly man, ‘Listen carefully: I cast out demons and perform healings today and tomorrow, and on the third day I reach My goal.’ Nevertheless, I must travel on today and tomorrow and the day after that—for it cannot be that a prophet would die outside of Jerusalem. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones to death those messengers who are sent to her by God! How often I have wanted to gather your children together around Me, just as a hen gathers her young under her wings, but you were not willing! Listen carefully: your house is left to you desolate abandoned by God and destitute of His protection; and I say to you, you will not see Me until the time comes when you say, ‘Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord (Luke 13:31-35 AMP).

The greater story that is illustrated is the true story of our Creator Who made a way to save His wandering children. The Lord stretched out His arms on the cross and took the pain so that we didn’t have to. He stood between death and us and fought for us sinners like a hen protects her chicks. In other words, in a dangerous situation, when a fox is on the loose and the chicks are vulnerable, the mother hen gathers her chicks under her wings and fends off the fox as best as she can. Jesus gave His life to protect those whom the fox would destroy. We now live in the shadow of His wings and under His wings we find refuge (Psalm 91:1-4).

The righteousness of the law is fulfilled in those who walk in the Spirit. Christ lives again in His redeemed followers the life He lived in Judaea; for righteousness can never be divorced from its source, which is Jesus Christ Himself. The ethics of Jesus cannot be obeyed or even understood until the life of God has come to the heart of a man in the miracle of the new birth. Our Creator has made a way to save His wandering children.

Let us not forget that there were once two brothers. They lived in a society that had not had time to develop the many social evils we know today. Yet one killed the other because sin was there. If two brothers in the morning of the world could not get on together, how can we hope that the gentle teachings of Jesus can ever bring brotherhood to a race filled with complex iniquities, where men inherit hate and where the souls of all are lacerated by jealousy, murder, envy, egotism, greed and lust?

According to the Bible, the human race is morally fallen, spiritually alienated from God, lost and under the severe sentence of divine judgment. In sharp contrast to this, the Church is a body of regenerated persons who have withdrawn from the world in spirit and heart and have thrown in their lot with Christ to own Him as Savior and to follow Him as Lord.

The hope of the human race is that Christ shall come again to earth. I am reminded of this quote from CS Lewis:

When the Author of Life walks on the stage the play is over. God is going to invade, all right: but what is the good of saying you are on His side then? When you see the whole natural universe melting away like a dream and something else … something that never entered your head to conceive—comes crashing in; something so beautiful to some of us and so terrible to others that none of us will have any choice left. For this time, it will be God without disguise; something so overwhelming that it will strike either irresistible love or irresistible horror into every creature. It will be too late to choose your side. There is no use saying you choose to lie down when it has become impossible to stand up. That will not be the time for choosing; it will be the time when we discover which side we really have chosen, whether we realised it before or not. Now, today, this moment is our chance to choose the right side. God is holding back to give us that chance. It will not last forever. We must take it or leave it.

God’s covenant love to His people is: ‘I love you so much, I will never let the devil have you. I won’t let him take over your life, even when you fail me. It is impossible to stray too far from God’s love. There is no place in heaven or earth where you can escape it.’

Corrie ten Boom is well known for offering forgiveness to the guards who held her captive during the Nazi regime. She touched millions of lives through books and speaking tours before dying on her ninety-first birthday. She often recalled her sister Betsie’s hope-filled words: “There is no pit so deep that God’s love is not deeper still.” Do you think Satan wants to keep driving you into the loving arms of Christ to find mercy, love, and grace? No–The only sin he can tempt you with now is to attempt to turn you away from God’s incredible love. That’s where a hard heart comes from–not falling back, but from continually rejecting God’s love.

Even so, Lord, come quickly.

Messianic Prophecies

Every year at Christmas we are reminded of the remarkable prophecies concerning the birth death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and how they substantiate His deity and the faithfulness of God.

We’ve established here, here, here, and here that more than 2500 years ago, the prophets Jeremiah, Isaiah, Daniel, Ezekiel and others like them foretold many events that predict the coming of Jesus Christ and which are ultimately fulfilled by Him.

Jesus clearly reveals that Messianic prophecy points to Him. He said to the Jews, “You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These Scriptures testify about me, yet you refuse to come to Me to have life…if you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for he wrote about Me, (John 5:39, 46. See also: Matthew 5:17, 21:42; 21:41-45;26:24,31,56; Mark 12:10; 14:27,62; Luke 4:16-21; 18:31-33; 22:37).

Messianic prophecy is one of the many infallible proofs concerning the truth of the gospel and Christ’s claims within it. Messianic prophecy shows us, among other things, the kind of Person the Messiah was to be when He came. It also reveals when and where He would arrive, and how He would be born. Here is a list of twenty-nine prophecies occurring in twenty-four hours in the experiences of Jesus of Nazareth.

  1. He was to be sold for thirty pieces of silver (Zechariah 11:12; Matthew 26:14-15).
  2. He was to be betrayed by a friend (Psalms 55:12-14; Matthew 26:47-50; John 13:18).
  3. The money obtained was to be cast to the Potter (Zechariah 11:13; Matthew 27:3-10).
  4. His disciples were to forsake Him (Zechariah 13:7; Matthew 26:56; Mark 14:27).
  5. He was to be accused by false witnesses (Psalms 55:11,109:2; Matthew 26:59, 60).
  6. He would be struck on the cheek with a rod (Micah 5:1; Matthew 26:67).
  7. He was to be beaten and spat upon (Isaiah 50:6; Luke 22:64).
  8. His appearance was to be disfigured (Isaiah 42:14; Matthew 27:29,30).
  9. He was to be silent before His accusers (Isaiah 53:7; Matthew 27:12-14; 1 Peter 1:23).
  10. He was to be wounded and bruised (Isaiah 53:6; Matthew 27:26, 29).
  11. His hands and feet were to be pierced (Psalms 22:16; Luke 23:33; John 20:25-27).
  12. He was to be crucified with the wicked (Isaiah 53:12; Mark 15:27, 28).
  13. The people were to ridicule Him (Psalms 22:8; Matthew 27:41, 43).
  14. The people were to be astonished (Psalms 22:17; Isaiah 52:14; Luke 23:35).
  15. He was to pray for His persecutors (Isaiah 53:12; Psalm1 109:4; Luke 23:34).
  16. The people were to shake their heads (Psalms 109:25; Matthew 27:39).
  17. His garments were parted/lots cast for clothing (Psalms 22:19; John 19:24).
  18. He was to cry: ‘My God, My God, why have You forsaken me? Why are You so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning? (Psalm 22:1; Matthew 27:46).
  19. He was to thirst (Psalm 69:3, 21; John 19:28).
  20. They were to give Him gall and vinegar (Psalm 69:21; Matthew 27:34; John 19:28).
  21. He was to commit Himself to God (Psalm 31:5; Luke 23:46).
  22. His friends stood at a distance (Psalms 38:11; Luke 23:49).
  23. His bones were not to be broken, yet were out of joint (Psalms 34:20; Exodus 12:46; Psalms 22:14, 17; John 19:31-36).
  24. His side was to be pierced (Zechariah 12:10; John 19:34-37).
  25. His heart was to be broken (Psalm 22:14; John 19:34).
  26. Darkness was to cover the land (Amos 8:9; Matthew 27:45).
  27. He was to be buried in a rich man’s tomb (Isaiah 53:9; John 10:11, 17-18, Galatians 2:20).
  28. His death was to be voluntary (Isaiah 53:12; Psalm 40:6-8; John 10:11, 17).
  29. His death was to be substitutionary (Isaiah 53:4-6,12; Daniel 9:26; Matthew 20:18; 1 Corinthians 15:3; 1 Peter 2:24; Revelation 1:5,6).

These events were all fulfilled in detail in 24 hours in the experience of Jesus of Nazareth. According to the law of compound probabilities, the chance that they all happened together by accident is 1 in 537,000,000.

Messianic Jewish Testimony

During the last hundred years or so many Jewish people have been brought to believe in Jesus as their Messiah as the result of studying Messianic prophecy. Here is just one example:

Mordecai S. Bergmann was brought up in the strictest of Jewish religious sects, the Chassidism. When he was fourteen, he was sent to Breslau to study under the Chief Rabbi there. Returning later to Kalisch, he applied himself diligently to the study of the Talmund. Later in life, he came to live in London, where he organized a small synagogue, and in which he ministered for two years. Taken ill, he entered a German hospital where he remained for six weeks. While there he started to read a German Bible which was on a shelf in the ward.

As a reader in the Synagogue he knew the Pentateuch and portions of the prophecies by heart. The verses in Daniel chapter 9, which record in the first portion of it Daniel’s great prayer, were very familiar to him, for these verses are repeated every Monday and Tuesday by religious Jews; but the later part of the chapter which records the prophecy of the seventy weeks (of years) is never read; in fact, the rabbis pronounce a dreadful curse on anyone who investigates this prophecy. They say, ‘Their bones shall rot who compute the end of time.’

Remembering this anathema, it was with fear and trembling that he went on to read the prophecy. Coming to verse 26, and reading the words, ‘Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself’ he threw the Bible down, thinking it was a Christian Bible and altered from the Hebrew original to favor their view that Jesus of Nazareth was the Jewish Messiah.

But though he did so, he could not put the words out of his mind. They sank deeper and deeper into his soul, and wherever he looked he seemed to see them in flaming Hebrew characters. The result was he was greatly disturbed in mind and heart. After a time, he again took up the Bible, and without thinking of any particular passage opened it at Isaiah chapter fifty-three. He was arrested by the words:

By oppression and judgment He was taken away; and as for His generation, who among them considered that He was cut off out of the land of the living (stricken to His death) for the transgression of my people, to whom the stroke was due? (Isaiah 53:8).

This seemed to be the answer to that question he had been asking himself ever since he had read the words, ’Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself, ‘and which seemed to be confronting him everywhere. For whom then, if not for Himself, was the Messiah to be cut off? Here the answer was plainly revealed to him: ‘For the transgressions of my people was He stricken.’

On leaving the hospital he went home, put on his phylacteries and tallith, in order to perform the prescribed prayers; but found he could not utter a single sentence of the prayer book. One message, found in Psalm 119:18 came to his mind, ‘Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law.’ He kept on repeating it for nearly two hours. Then he left the house and walked along the street, still praying the same prayer.

The Lord led him to the home of Dr Ewald, a Jewish believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. To him he unburdened his heart. Here, for the first time, he learned that the Messiah, who was to cut off for the transgression of His people, was the Lord Jesus whom the Christian Gospels proclaimed to be the incarnate Son of God, and only Savior of sinners, and whom the Jewish nation had rejected. After studying the Messianic prophecies diligently with the help of his friend, he accepted the Lord Jesus as his Messiah and personal Savior.

As a result, he suffered much persecution at the hands of his former Jewish friends, but was uncompromisingly steadfast in his new faith, and was greatly blessed and used to win other Jews for Christ.

For all classes, no matter how cultured, or how primitive, there is one Word of truth-the Cross-to the wise, to the barbarian, to Greek and Jew, to everyone. The gospel is the power of God. The gospel preacher is an ambassador demanding surrender to the kingdom of heaven. It is God’s ultimatum. He shows us the way things are. The gospel is neither theory nor an abstraction, but it is the reality behind everything. We either recognise it or perish.

The Top Ten Bible Prophecy Stories

How do we select ten top stories of the year when, in reality, there were one hundred ten prominent happenings during the year as the last days wind down? Let me share some that I feel are worth discussing. All of them have prophetic implications.

  1. The Rise of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Cabal and their Rush to Global Government

Ten years ago, had you heard of Klaus Schwab? How about Yuval Noah Harari? Were you tracking them even five years ago? Of course not. Today many are aware of this crowd and their one-world intentions. A lot of our readers understand this is the true shadow government. Revelation 13 outlines their scheme well.

  1. The Stirring Up of the Spirit of the Antichrist

We all see the new lawlessness and rebellion in every aspect of society! Its current overdrive was sparked in my hometown, Minneapolis, in May, 2020 with the George Floyd ordeal. Now police forces are reduced, criminals face no bail, and prosecutors encourage more lawlessness. But the spirit of the Antichrist is everywhere–in our government, in our schools, and more. It is priming the pump for the real Antichrist.

  1. Government Knows Best–Trust It

That has been the mantra in the Western world for almost three years. Trust the government for vaccines, to properly handle pandemics and other health issues, and to keep you well! Millions bought into it. Millions will now transition from trusting government to trusting the Antichrist.

  1. The Rise of the Green Dragon: The Worship of Mother Earth

Entire continents have caved to the religion of climate change and environmentalism. They worship mother earth rather than loving Father God. Joe Biden wants to block the sun to fight global warming. In the name of saving energy, farmers in Europe are being put out of business, an action that is inviting a famine. Sane people know this is lunacy, but they are helpless when their governments mandate foolishness.

  1. The Race Towards Digital Currency: Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC)

Why are we surprised when our authorities tell us cash is going away? A cashless system plays a prominent biblical end-time role. More than 100 nations are exploring CBDCs, according to the IMF. The Biden Administration is pushing this. It is being portrayed as the answer to many of the world’s problems! We could see it in 2023.

  1. The Decline of America, Rise of Radical Liberalism, and Lack of a World Leader

Although it’s tough to watch, America is in decline. At the same time, name even one global leader. Leftists are trying to make America a liberal paradise like Venezuela. Sadly, the result is more like a banana republic. Progressives are attempting to accomplish what every other Socialist/Communist country has: Destroy the middle class, obtain unending power, create a permanent welfare state, and create total dependence. You can’t have a superpower when the goal is global government.

  1. Christians Are Canceled; Jews are Under Attack

When Sam Brownbeck’s National Committee for Religious Freedom needed a bank account, they went to J.P. Morgan Chase. They quickly realized their account was closed! They are fighting back. At the same time, Jews are under attack in many countries. Assaults have increased over 100% in the last year. New York City attacks against Jews are up 125% in the last year. The “people of the book”, Jews and Christians, are hated as the Bible foretold.

  1. The Rise of Strong Delusion and Global Deception

How else do you explain the rage that girls can become boys and boys can become girls? That men can join women’s sports and change clothes in the ladies’ locker rooms? And that all of this is totally normal and healthy? Trans-identifying kids in the U.S. have increased by almost 1,000% in the last two years. How do you explain the love of killing a baby in the womb, at any stage of life, with a torturous procedure? God will not tolerate this much longer!

  1. Running Amok: Apostasy in the Church

It would take a three-hundred-page book to summarize the current state of the church now. In the last two years, thousands have gone “woke”, seeker-sensitive, and more. Social justice has replaced salvation. Many teach that the church will make the world a better place–even perfect. The sheep are trying to find a solid church–and one that talks about issues of the day and Bible prophecy. Many churches want to tell people they can have their best life now.

  1. The Staggering Rise of the Paranormal and Occult, Called Sorcery in the Bible

The world, and some in the church, are dancing with the devil. Social media encourages this and provides a platform. Even Christians dabble in things they know they shouldn’t. Then there is the blatant–the Commonwealth Games last summer that featured the re-creation of the Tower of Babel and a woman riding a beast–with many bowing down to the beast. This is all leading to rampant sorcery talked about in Revelation, and there it is combined with drugs.

What did you think the last days would look like? Believe the Bible when it calls our times perilous and filled with people possessing selfish, reckless motives. God is orchestrating events to wind up this amazing drama known as the Church Age. The last act may be on display. Expect a trumpet and a shout any day. (I Thess. 4:16)

America Was Warned

We were warned, but nobody listened.  I’m referring to the warning about how nefarious forces have been planning America’s demise for many decades now.  Specifically, how our once-great nation, founded on Godly principles by Godly men and women seeking true freedom and liberty would eventually be destroyed from within — by Communism.  In 1958, W. Cleon Skousen, a former FBI employee, published a book titled The Naked Communist.”  Five years later, in January of 1963, Albert ‘Syd’ Herlong — a member of the House of Representatives from Florida — and a Democrat — stood before Congress and listed the “45 Current Communist Goals,” which were entered into the official Congressional Record.

What was going on in America in January of 1963?  Well, just six months earlier, the Supreme Court had rendered it’s decision that prayer in public schools would be outlawed.  In June of ‘63, the Supreme Court proclaimed that Bible reading in public schools should be done away with also.  Of course, there was some pushback from this, but American Christianity had already started to lose much of it’s influence, and with the Johnson Amendment entering into the tax code nine years prior, many pastors were already beginning to tuck their tails between their legs and remain silent on all things that might be construed as “political,” as the weaponizing of the IRS had begun.

World War II was still a fairly recent event, having ended less than twenty years earlier.  And we were still mourning the bloody Korean War, which ended just ten years earlier leaving three million people dead — and cold war tensions high.  We had seen first-hand the brutal effects of Socialism, Communism, Fascism and Marxism.  Many were warning that although the wars had ended, we still faced the dangers of creeping Communism in this country.  But it seemed absurd to most people because surely America would never fall under the tyranny of such an evil, tyrannical ideology.  After all, our military heroes in uniform had just recently fought, bled and died in foreign lands to put an end to those evil regimes and assure that would never happen here.

Still, we were warned.  Let me share a few of those Communist Goals from 1963, that I believe have been very effectively accomplished.  Among them: “Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.”  (Done). “Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.” (Done).  “Get control of the schools.  Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda.  Soften the curriculum.  Get control of teachers’ associations.  Put the party line in textbooks.”  (Done).

Also: “Infiltrate the press.  Get control of book review assignments, editorial writing, policy-making positions.” (Done).  “Gain control of key positions in radio, TV and motion pictures.” (Done).  “Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them ‘censorship’ and a violation of free speech and free press.” (Done).  “Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio and TV.” (Done).

More Communist goals: “Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as ‘normal, natural and healthy.’”  (May have seemed impossible but they got that done too).  “Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with ‘social’ religion.  Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity.” (Done).  “Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools.” (As we’ve seen, that one was checked off the list that very year).  “Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a world-wide basis.”  (Done).

“Discredit the American founding fathers.  Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the common man.” (Done).  “Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture, education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.” (Done). “Infiltrate and gain control of big business.”  (Done).  “Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies.”  (Done).  “Discredit the family as an institution.  Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.” (Done).  “Emphasize the need to raise children away from the ‘negative influence’ of parents.”  (Done).

Believe it or not, the Communists accomplished pretty much every one of their goals, which were designed to destroy America from within.  And they did it so slowly and so stealthily that nobody really noticed.  Those who did and sounded a warning were shouted down as crazy conspiracy theorists and fanatics.  So here we are, today, scratching our heads and wondering what in the world happened to the country we grew up in.  We were warned.  Nobody listened.

Who would have ever believed that the idea of “Democratic Socialism” would even be taken seriously in America?  But now, according to polls, 39% of American adults said they would prefer socialism.  That number jumps to 54% for those age 18-24.

When I first heard about the idea of “The Green New Deal,” I thought it was one of the most ridiculous things the Leftists had come up with yet.  No more vehicles with gas or diesel engines; imposing a new ‘carbon tax’; everyone guaranteed a job with a universal basic income; free college for all; free healthcare for all; elimination of private homes in favor of ‘green’ multi-unit residential facilities; more public programs, eliminating personal or private property.

Now, we have Klous Schwab of the World Economic Forum — and thousands of his minions embedded in every American state and countless cities across the country — stating boldly that by 2030, we will own nothing and we will like it that way.  That sounds like Communism to me.  But again, the idea of American freedom has been so villainized by the Left while Communistic ideals have been purposely spoon-fed to our children in our public schools and college campuses for so long, I honestly don’t think it’s going to take that long for them to gain complete control.

Our young people have been trained to hate their country, their history and heritage, especially if they happen to be white.  They’ve also been trained to believe that God is dead and Christians are hateful bigots.  In just the past two years, we’ve seen the destruction and removal of statues and monuments honoring America’s historical heroes.  Yet in Seattle, Washington, the statue of the Communist dictator Vladimir Lenin remains the pride of the city.

Law and order is gone.  George Soros-selected District Attorneys are turning criminals loose and crime is not prosecuted. We have the  highest rates of violence ever in this country right now.  Not to mention homelessness, drug abuse and mental illness. Meanwhile, a full-scale invasion of foreign soldiers is taking place on our southern border.  Of course, not all who are entering this country illegally mean to do us harm, but a significant number are coming here just for that purpose, and we’re rolling out the red carpet for them.  Our government is transporting them to cities and towns across America under the cover of darkness so that citizens won’t so easily notice.  Once they’re settled in, the government “Welcome Wagon,” funded with our taxpayer dollars, supplies them with free housing, food, healthcare, education and cash.

We’ve purposely shut down our energy production, and now we must beg our enemies for help.  Freedom of speech is gone, for all practical purposes, because even though we’re still able to speak words that defy the regime, few ever will, for fear of retribution from friends, family and neighbors — or any number of three-letter agencies that have been weaponized by the Globalists.

Along with the deliberate destruction of our economy, energy resources and supply chain, we’re also seeing the start of a planned world-wide famine.  Farmers are being paid by the government NOT to plant their fields.  Millions of chickens and turkeys are being destroyed due to a supposed “bird flu” outbreak.  The Banksters are buying up massive amounts of farmland and the “climate change” police are calling for the culling of millions of heads of cattle — in order to mitigate CO2 emissions.  Bill Gates wants us to eat insects.  And what’s going on with all the mysterious fires at food processing plants throughout the country, all happening just in the past few months?

And millions have been forced to take an experimental injection of poison that’s been proven, now, to have over 1291 adverse side effects — which the snake oil salesmen KNEW ABOUT before the jabs were released on the public, evidence they’d hoped to hide for 75 years.  Yes, 1291 adverse side effects — not the least of which is DEATH.  Millions of Americans have been forced to either take those jabs or lose their jobs.  Many have lost their lives, others have been forever crippled.

The American Library Association’s newly-elected president proudly proclaims herself as a ‘Marxist Lesbian.’  Emily Drabinski, who will take office next summer, has promised to “Queer” the libraries across the country.  Expect an exponential growth of “Drag Queen Story Times” coming soon to libraries nation-wide.

In 2015, the Supreme Court validated homosexual so-called “marriage,” but that wasn’t enough for the powers that control and manipulate American thought.  Now, citizens had better be careful what they say and what they think, and they’d better celebrate sodomy enthusiastically and pridefully, or they may be severely prosecuted for a “hate crime.”

In the last dozen or so years, the numbers of young people “coming out of the closet” and declaring themselves to be homosexual has skyrocketed.  This is a direct result of homosexual “grooming” and encouragement to embrace all manner of sexual deviancy — by their teachers, youth leaders and every area of media, art and entertainment.  Newly brainwashed young people who declare themselves to be homosexual are considered “courageous” and “heroic” among their peers.  They don’t realize how horrifically they’ve been lied to, manipulated and used as throw-away pawns by child sex predators.

Meanwhile, “transgenderism” has become the latest “hot, new trend.”  This is pushed everywhere you go.  Again, our children are directly targeted by this agenda.  And pity the poor soul who refuses to go along with this game of “dress up” or uses the wrong pronouns.  Those who do face instant retribution and punishment.

All this sexual deviancy is not just happening “organically.”  It’s been specifically designed by the LGBTQP+ mafia to indoctrinate and lure young people into sexual activity and gender confusion at the youngest of ages.  Some of the players include the big bully known as the Human Rights Campaign, the taxpayer-funded Planned Parenthood, and even the once wholesome, family-friendly Walt Disney Corporation.  Parents who desire to protect their kids from these predators are now labeled “domestic terrorists.”

This is all part of the plan for a New World Order.  Next up: the death of the US dollar and the “need” for a One-World digital currency, embedded under the skin.  Those who refuse will be outcasts, or forced to live in captivity, if they’re allowed to live at all.  Regardless, the coming Great Reset and New World Order will have to be Communist in nature.  It will be sold to us as it’s been sold to countless billions of naive people in the past: as “power to the people.”  But the only ones with the power will be the tyrannical dictators.  The “people,” rather than being empowered, will lose any last vestiges of freedom they may have ever thought they once had.

George Orwell’s book, 1984 was required reading when I was in high school.  I always found it odd that of all the books out there, 1984 was required.  Perhaps the Globalists wanted us to see what our future held.  Remember: these demons always tell us what they plan to do before they go ahead and do it.  I doubt Orwell meant the book to be an instruction manual, but that’s what it’s become.  We were warned.  But we didn’t listen.

God’s Wrath is Easier to Bear Than His Silence

The name Amos means “burden” or “burden bearer.” Amos was a shepherd and fig grower from Judah, which was the southern kingdom, but he prophesied to the northern kingdom of Israel. He confronted the false religious leaders of his day and was not intimidated by priest or king. When we look at the conditions in Israel during Amos’s time, we realize that we are no different in today’s society.

Israel was at the height of its political power with a prosperous economy, but the nation was spiritually corrupt. People worshiped idols, especially at Bethel, which was supposed to be the nation’s religious center. At Bethel and Samaria the worshipers had sex with male and female prostitutes, believing that this would persuade God to bless their crops.

The wealthy elite of Israel had become prosperous, greedy, and unjust. There was slavery as a result of over taxation and land confiscation. There was cruelty and indifference toward the poor and oppressed. The standard of living was high, but the gap between the rich and the poor was wide. The rich got richer and the poor got poorer. The rich had two homes, one for the summer months and the other for all other times, but many people didn’t even have one. With all the comfort and luxury came self-sufficiency, pride, corruption, debauchery, and war.

The people rejected real faith in God by acting religiously. They had become interested in the gods of other nations, including the gods of the East and the West that arrived with traveling merchants. So God sent Amos to denounce this social and religious corruption. Amos first challenged the sins of the surrounding nations. The entire first chapter details God’s judgment on Israel’s neighbors. Maybe the Israelites must have cheered Amos, saying, “Preach it brother” until he directed his words of judgment to them. He received this prophetic message through visions two years before the earthquake. The Lord gave Amos the reasons for judgment:

Hear this word that the Lord hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying, You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities….

Hear ye, and testify in the house of Jacob, saith the Lord God, the God of hosts, That in the day that I shall visit the transgressions of Israel upon him I will also visit the altars of Beth-el: And the horns of the altar shall be cut off, and fall to the ground. And I will smite the winter house with the summer house; and the houses of ivory shall perish, and the great houses shall have an end, saith the Lord (Amos 3:1–2, 13–15 KJV).

God’s people failed to realize that He held them to a higher standard than all other nations. God intended to guide them Himself, making them a nation of leaders who could become a model for the entire world. His heavy judgment fell on them because He held His people accountable to lead the world to Himself.

The events in this book of Amos fit the same biblical patterns demonstrated in Old Testament history. Again and again, as Israel prepared to cross the river Jordan and enter the Promised Land, Moses charged them to remember and learn from those who had gone before them. They were called to go back and examine their history.

Amos then spoke harsh words to God’s people by warning them to finally prepare to meet their God. This was a pronouncement of wrath on those who refused to return and worship the God who had faithfully protected and provided for them:

And also I withheld the rain from you when there were yet three months to the harvest. I caused it to rain upon one city and caused it not to rain upon another city; one piece of ground was rained upon, and the piece upon which it did not rain withered……I have overthrown some among you as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and you were as a brand plucked out of the burning; yet you did not return to Me, says the Lord. Therefore thus will I do to you, O Israel; and because I will do this to you, prepare to meet your God, O Israel! For behold, He Who forms the mountains and creates the wind and declares to man what is his thought, Who makes the morning darkness and treads on the heights of the earth—the Lord, the God of hosts, is His name! (Amos 4:7, 11-13 AMP)

Amos lamented the destruction of the house of Israel as if it had already happened. The Israelites believed that their wealth could sustain and secure them in times of trouble, but Amos told them their destruction was sure. There was only one remedy to all of this—to repent, seek the Lord, and live:

For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel: Seek Me [inquire for and of Me and require Me as you require food] and you shall live! [II Chron. 15:2; Jer. 29:13.] But seek not [the golden calf at] Bethel nor enter into [idolatrous] Gilgal, and pass not over to [the idols of] Beersheba; for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity and exile, and Bethel [house of God] shall become Beth-aven [house of vanity, emptiness, falsity, and futility] and come to nothing. Seek the Lord [inquire for and of Him and require Him] and you shall live, lest He rush down like fire upon the house of Joseph [representing the ten tribes] and devour it, and there be none to quench it in Bethel [the center of their idol hopes] (Amos 5:4–6 AMP).

Amos continued to condemn the leaders who fail to provide justice for their people. He called for repentance to those who turn justice into bitterness. Just like it is today in most of the nations, leaders have abused power, they have abandoned morality and twisted justice, making it a bitter pill for the oppressed, hating and despising people, and judge those who told the truth. They taxed the poor for unselfish gain. They were corrupt, oppressed citizens, took bribes, and deprived people of justice in courts.

Surprisingly, however, the people were calling for the day of the Lord, thinking it might bring an end to their troubles. But the Lord said: “Woe to you who desire the day of the Lord! Why would you want the day of the Lord? It is darkness and not light; it is as if a man fled from a lion and a bear met him, or went into the house and leaned with his hand against the wall and a serpent bit him” (Amos 5:18–19 AMP).

Warning of Judgment

God gave Amos messages of the coming judgment in two ways: he had dreams while he was sleeping and visions while he was awake. He saw God preparing to send a vast swarm of locusts, and he saw God preparing to punish His people with a great fire. Amos must have felt overwhelmed after he was shown visions of Israel’s impending judgment. His immediate response was to pray that God would spare His people.

The only thing he could do was beg God to forgive and relent. He prayed for his people with compassion and honesty. He knew Israel would not survive a judgment because of its size. So he interceded and God withdrew His judgment. Amos stepped in-between the people and God, and stood in the gap before the Lord for the land, that He would not destroy it. The Lord relented from this plan of destruction (see Ezekiel 22:30).

And when [the locusts] had finished eating the plants of the land, then I said, O Lord God, forgive, I pray You. How can Jacob stand? For he is so small! The Lord relented and revoked this sentence: It shall not take place, said the Lord [and He was eased and comforted concerning it]. Thus the Lord God showed me, and behold, the Lord God called for punishment with fire, and it devoured the great deep and would have eaten up the land. Then said I, O Lord God, cease, I pray You! How can Jacob stand? He is so little! The Lord relented and revoked this sentence: This also shall not be, said the Lord [and He was eased and comforted concerning it]. (Amos 7:2–6 AMP)

But in this same chapter, Amos had a vision of the Lord standing alongside a wall with a plumb line in his hand. God was showing him that He was measuring Israel against His standards, not their own, and that judgment must soon follow (see Amos 7:8, 17).

Again, in chapter 8 the Lord showed him a basket of ripe and therefore soon-to-perish summer fruit. Then the Lord told Amos, “Like this fruit, Israel is ripe for punishment!” (see Amos 8:1–2). God said He would even take away the opportunity to hear His Word and that this judgment would stand above all others:

Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord God, when I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but [a famine] for hearing the words of the Lord. And [the people] shall wander from sea to sea and from the north even to the east; they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord [inquiring for and requiring it as one requires food], but shall not find it (Amos 8:11–12 AMP).

When the Word of the Lord becomes rare and God withdraws His words from a people, they experience the worst of all famines. Helmut Thielicke, a German theologian and pastor, preached a series of sermons based on the Lord’s Prayer in Stuttgart during the Allied bombing of World War II. Thielicke’s sermons were filled with compassion as he identified with his congregation’s fears, struggles, and questions about God. Like Amos, he became a burden bearer.

Thielicke realized that at times like these we must speak prophetically. We cannot merely say what the people want to hear. Preaching in a bombed out church, he interpreted his country’s experience as evidence of divine judgment. “For God’s judgment does not consist in His destroying the offenders with a thunderbolt from heaven.” Instead, he explained, it consists in God allowing us to pursue our chosen road to the end. Thielicke saw this as a mark of divine love, explaining that God’s wrath is easier to bear than His silence.

God is so merciful that He never judges without first sending a prophet to explain to His people what might happen if they don’t turn from their ways and repent. Through the prophet Amos, God told the people that they could still humble themselves and return to Him and receive mercy.

In chapter 9 Amos spoke words of hope to the people if they would humble themselves, repent, and turn from their wicked ways. He spoke of a better future:

In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old: that they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by My name, saith the Lord that doeth this…. And I will bring again the captivity of My people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the Lord thy God. (Amos 9:11–12, 14–15 KJV)

Image Description

The lion, bear and snake in the lower right corner illustrate Amos 5:19: “[The Day of the Lord] will be as though a man fled from a lion only to meet a bear, as though he entered his house and rested his hand on the wall only to have a snake bite him.”

The two women ignoring the beggar are the “cows of Bashan… you women who oppress the poor and crush the needy” (Amos 4:1).

At the top are several large houses. Amos is critical of the size and number of the houses of the wealthy: “‘I will tear down the winter house along with the summer house; the houses adorned with ivory will be destroyed and the mansions will be demolished,’ declares the LORD” (Amos 3:15).

Communist Takeover Of America

In The Communist Manifesto, Karl Marx spoke of the ten steps by which the communists intended to accomplish their goal of “revolutionizing the mode of production,” which in the end would destroy Christianity and eventually the family structure:

  1. Abolition of property and land, and application of all rents of land to public purposes.
  2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
  3. Abolition of all right of inheritance.
  4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
  5. Centralization of credit in the hands of the state by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly.
  6. Centralization of the means of communication and the means of transport in the hands of the state.
  7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the state; bringing into cultivation of wastelands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
  8. Equal liability of all to labor. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
  9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country, by a more equitable distribution of the population over the country.
  10. Free education for all children in public schools

Remaining Faithful Under Trials

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him (James 1:12). I’m convinced that the decision by true Christians to stand up for Jesus on certain issues will spark an onslaught of persecution against us that we’ve not experienced before.

We are living in a time of great crisis, but it is also time of great opportunity. The tension between living for today and looking for tomorrow is one of the realities of the followers of Christ. So we must be prepared for the challenges that lie ahead of us. New technologies are making our lives more convenient, but they also make us more dependent on those conveniences.  We will and are finding ourselves living in a very different world from the one into which we were born.

The signs of the last days the Hebrew prophets told us to watch out for are all around us. These include:

  • Famines and outbreaks of plagues and pestilences;
  • Unusual and violent weather;
  • An increase in earthquakes and extreme weather patterns;
  • A tremendous and rapid decline in moral standards and behavior;
  • Persecution of believers;
  • Secular humanism,
  • The decline of nationalism and individual nation-states
  • The rise of global governance,
  • An unbelievable increase in the amount of human knowledge,
  • Jerusalem being a burdensome stone for all nations;
  • Wars and rumors of wars and ethnic conflicts,
  • The frightening and sudden rise in lawlessness, corruption, including individual, corporate, governmental, and societal disregard for law and order;
  • And economic chaos.

All these changes and challenges will confront us in the days ahead but preparing for Christ’s return is something each of us must do for ourselves. No one else can get our hearts ready to meet God. You and I must do that ourselves. Jesus urges us to do three things in view of His second coming:

  1. We are to keep watching: But take heed to yourselves and be on your guard, lest your hearts be overburdened and depressed (weighed down) with the giddiness and headache and nausea of self-indulgence, drunkenness, and worldly worries and cares pertaining to the business of this life, and lest that day come upon you suddenly like a trap or a noose; For it will come upon all who live upon the face of the entire earth. Keep awake then and watch at all times (be discreet, attentive, and ready), praying that you may have the full strength and ability and be accounted worthy to escape all these things taken together that will take place, and to stand in the presence of the Son of Man (Luke 21:21:34-36 AMP).
  2. We are to watch and be ready at all times: Watch therefore (give strict attention, be cautious and active), for you do not know in what kind of a day whether a near or remote one your Lord is coming. But understand this: had the householder known in what part of the night, whether in a night or a morning watch the thief was coming, he would have watched and would not have allowed his house to be undermined and broken into. You also must be ready therefore, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not expect Him (Matthew 24:42-44).
  3. We are to remain faithful and serving: Who then is the faithful, thoughtful, and wise servant, whom his master has put in charge of his household to give to the others the food and supplies at the proper time? Blessed (happy, fortunate, and to be envied) is that servant whom, when his master comes, he will find so doing (Matthew 24:45-46).

How to Overcome the Onslaught of Wickedness

In meantime, what should we do to enable us to overcome the onslaught of wickedness that is increasing? First and foremost, we should spend quality time with God. This sets the tone of any other expenditure of time. We will not be at our best, emotionally or otherwise, if we do not daily cultivate our relationship with God by spending time in His presence.

R.T. Kendall reminds us, “When you stand before the Lord you may well regret how you used so much of your time, but I can safely promise that you will not regret a single minute you spent alone with God.”

Secondly, as Christians we are called not to conform to this world or let the world around us squeeze us into its own mold (see Romans 12:2). This is not easy as it is very difficult to be different. I read a story of a young police officer taking his final exams at Hendon Police College in North London. Here was one of the questions:

You are on patrol in outer London where an explosion occurs in a gas main in a nearby street. On investigation you find that a large hole has been blown in the footpath and there is an overturned van lying nearby. Inside the van there is a strong smell of alcohol. Both occupants-a man and a woman-are injured. You recognize the woman as the wife of your Divisional Inspector, who is presently away in the USA.

A passing motorist stops to offer you assistance and you realize that he is a man who is wanted for armed robbery. Suddenly a man runs out of a nearby house, shouting that his wife is expecting a baby and that the shock of the explosion has made the birth imminent. Another man is crying for help, having been blown into an adjacent canal by the explosion, and he cannot swim. Bearing in mind the provisions of the Mental Health Act, describe in a few words what actions you would take.

The officer thought for a moment, picked up his pen, and wrote: “I would take off my uniform and mingle with the crowd.”

We can sympathize with his answer. As a Christian, it is often easier to take off our Christian uniform and ‘mingle with the crowd’. It’s human to stand with the crowd; it’s divine to stand alone. It’s manlike to follow the people, to drift with the tide; it’s godlike to follow principles, to stem the tide. It’s natural to compromise conscience and follow social and religious fashions for the sake of gain and pleasure; it’s divine to sacrifice fashions on the altar of truth and beauty. Truth has been out of fashion since man changed his robe of fade-less light for a garment of faded leaves. Think about it for a moment!

Thirdly, human leaders will come and go. Some will be better, some worse and others will be what we deserve-a reflection of our own wickedness and sinfulness. But behind all human governments, God still reigns over the eternal destiny of mankind. Beyond this temporal world, God rules from His throne in heaven. He guides His children and overrules in the affairs of men and nations to accomplish His will and purposes. The Bible assures us, there is no authority except from God (by His permission, His sanction), and those that exist do so by God’s appointment (Romans 13:1).

Regardless of who our leaders are, we are commanded to offer petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings on behalf of all men.  For kings and all who are in positions of authority or high responsibility, that outwardly we may pass a quiet and undisturbed life and inwardly a peaceable one in all godliness and reverence and seriousness in every way (1Timothy 2:1-2).

Fourth, the church of Jesus Christ is still precious and our mission is still clear. The church stands as the salt and light of God in society. “We are to declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light” (1 Peter 2:9). During this age and dispensation of grace, God is still working through His church to evangelize and disciple the world. Jesus gave us clear directions about what we are to be doing until He returns. He said:

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen (Matthew 28:19-20).

The church may flourish or be persecuted in these last days, but she is to be faithful to her mission until Jesus calls her home to glory as the Apostle Paul tells in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

God Did Not Call Us to Win

If you choose to become a person who is deeply committed to a cause, the world won’t understand you; you will be alone. Noah built the ark and voyaged alone except for his family. He preached 120 years and never had a convert, and yet he did not get discouraged.

Don Wildmon, the founder of the American Family Association (AFA) stood boldly against the increasing immorality in our society for years, until his resignation in 2010. The sad thing is that he often reported that some of his main critics came from within Christianity and many of them were pastors!

He said the typical letter he got from pastors read something like this: “Don, you are wasting your time. Evil has greatly multiplied since you began speaking out about it. You need to face up to the fact that you are losing the battle”. Don responded by saying:

God did not call me to win. He called me to stand. We will not win until Jesus returns.

The Lord also assessed the faithfulness of the servants mentioned in Matt. 25:14-30, not by their net gain but their percentage increase. The servant who gained five talents was not considered more faithful than the servant who had gained two talents although he gained more talents.

It is on their faithfulness, as expressed in the percentage increase achieved, that their judgment is based. Whether one man originally received five talents and another one two, this was not the basis on which their faithfulness is assessed. Rather, each of these servants was considered equally faithful because each had achieved the same increase.

It is easy to lose the joy of serving Christ when we take our eyes off him. The more we look away from God’s eternal purposes towards our own sacrifices, the more frustrated we will become.

Baruch’s Service to Jeremiah

Baruch was the scribe who recorded Jeremiah’s words on a scroll. He had long been serving this weeping and unpopular prophet, writing his book of struggles and judgments and eventually Baruch became overwhelmed with his trials. God told Baruch to take his eyes off himself and whatever rewards he thought he deserved. Listen to what Jeremiah told him:

The word that Jeremiah the prophet spoke to Baruch son of Neriah, when he had written these words in a book at the dictation of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah, saying, Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, unto you, O Baruch: You said, Woe is me now! For the Lord has added sorrow to my pain; I am weary with my groaning and sighing and I find no rest.

Say this to him: The Lord speaks thus: Behold, what I have built I will break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up—and this means the whole land. And should you seek great things for yourself? Seek them not; for behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, says the Lord, but your life I will give to you [as your only booty and as a snatched prize of war wherever you go (Jeremiah 45:1-5 AMP).

Sir William Smith, in his Dictionary of the Bible says, “Baruch plays a role familiar in normal human life today—that of having to take second place, having to play second fiddle.” He was of high birth; his grandfather Maaseiah was governor of Jerusalem in the days of King Josiah (II Chronicles. 34:8).

Considering all that Baruch was doing to make Jeremiah’s prophecies permanent by recording them for posterity, it is not surprising that he seems to have expected to share the prophet’s rewards. “To play a prominent part in the impending crisis, to be the hero of a national revival, to gain the favor of the conqueror he announced,” seems to have been his high ideal, his glorious dream.

When its realization was denied him, “he sank in despair at the seeming fruitlessness of his efforts” Yet Baruch is an excellent illustration of how little the gift of prophecy depended on men, and how completely it remained for God to grant or deny prominence and recognition to His perhaps equally deserving servants.

Each man’s eternal rewards are proportioned according to his faithfulness, and not according to his earthly recognition or the lack of it. Whether one man originally received five talents and another one two, this was not the basis on which their faithfulness is assessed. Our faithfulness is assessed in light of eternity.

The Bolsheviks Aren’t Coming. They’re Already Here.

The average Westerner who hasn’t traveled very much believes Moscow to be a cold, bleak, desolate capital city that’s filled with Stalinist-era architecture and a population that lives in utter misery.

But the reality of this place is nearly the complete opposite.

Moscow is a bright, beautiful, cosmopolitan city. I’ve always found Moscow to feel more European than most European capitals, with gorgeous architecture that never seems to end.

Moscow is easily as nice as Paris, London, or Vienna… with a population larger than all three. I like it here more and more every time I visit.

It has some of the nicest restaurants in the world, beautiful parks and monuments, and a highly sophisticated, educated, cultured population.

The city is quite prosperous too. But it wasn’t always that way.

Moscow was once the capital of the Soviet Empire… the most infamous and failed experiment with Socialism in the history of the world.

Russia’s humiliating tale of Socialism grew out imperial discontent– a period starting in the 1500s when wealth was concentrated in the hands of the Tsar and his key lieutenants. Everyone else lived as peasants in abject poverty.

My friends and I toured a museum at the Kremlin over the weekend and saw endless artifacts from the days of the Empire– golden chalices, diamond-encrusted silverware, magnificent carriages.

No doubt the royals lived absurdly well at the expense of everyone else. And by the early 20th century, the seeds of revolution had been firmly planted.

Lenin and his Bolsheviks finally seized power in 1917. And after they stamped out all remaining resistance and opposition, they set out to remake the country into a communist masterpiece.

It took 69 years for the Soviet Union to collapse. And by the time that happened, there was no private property, private business, or private wealth.

Decades of central planning had extinguished any incentive to work hard, take risks, and innovate. And most people were destitute and impoverished.

Yet over the past 30 years this country has become wealthy once again. Russians enjoy a high standard of living– much higher than many European countries– with some of the lowest tax rates on the continent.

(GDP per capita in Moscow is actually slightly higher than in Washington DC, and much higher than most US cities like Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles, or Miami.)

None of this is due to Socialism. And Russians know it.

They still pay lip service to Lenin… there are tombs and monuments and buildings bearing his name, mostly out of reverence for history and traditions.

But Russians embraced capitalism long ago. They had their experiment with Socialism when the Bolsheviks took over in 1917. And they’re not going back.

Meanwhile, over in the Land of the Free, nearly half the country is running as fast as they can to Socialism.

The reasons are much the same as in imperial Russia– there’s growing discontent about the divide between rich and poor.

And as more and more people in the West feel left behind and barely able to make ends meet, the call to Socialism grows stronger.

There have been two formal debates so far among US Presidential candidates, both of which seemed to be Bolshevik beauty pageants.

The candidates talk about guaranteeing a government job for everyone, free education, free healthcare, eliminating private insurance altogether.

They demonize private profit and wealthy individuals, and propose more government as the solution to everything that ails the nation.

These are all Bolshevik principles ripped straight out of the Communist Manifesto– nationalization of private industry, central planning, government controlled labor and education, heavy taxation, and constantly complaining about the Bourgeoisie.

I’ve been looking back lately over the last decade of Sovereign Man (we recently hit our 10 year anniversary two weeks ago.)

Over the years I’ve written extensively about how the Bolsheviks are coming to the Land of the Free… and most of the West.

Well, those days are over. It’s clear that the Bolsheviks are no longer coming. They’re here. And their movement is firmly entrenched.

One of the Presidential candidates was actually booed and jeered at a political rally in California earlier this month by voters in his own party simply because he suggested that “Socialism is not the answer.”

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GOdNC55ROLQ]

A growing number of constituents believe quite adamantly that Socialism is absolutely the answer. A recent Gallup poll showed that 43% of Americans now prefer socialism to capitalism.

This isn’t some fake news conspiracy theory. It’s happening.

Is America on the Brink of a Second Civil War?

How to Prepare for the Coming Second American Revolutionary/Civil War

Since having the dream about the coming second American Revolutionary/Civil War, other national voices—both Christian and secular—have begun to say that we are in a civil war now. If we count a “war of words” and some violence, you might conclude that. However, we are still not in the civil war that I saw in my dream.

I think many are seeing that the divisions in our country are now so great, and seemingly getting worse by the day that it is extremely likely we will end up in some level of internal conflict, a civil war.

Until I had the dream about the coming Second American Revolutionary/Civil War, I would have concurred that we were headed toward civil war, but that there was still time to change our direction. I understand now that it is inevitable. Even so, I still believe that the cost of the rising conflict can be reduced in possibly every way.

Prayer, repentance, revival, and an awakening, as well as serious government reform, can all have a substantial positive impact and reduce the cost of the rising conflict. Focusing on all of these is one thing we can do to prepare for what is coming.

Even if all these things are accomplished and the impact of the looming conflict is reduced, it is wisdom to prepare for the worst while praying for the best. What I saw in the dream was devastating, but it seemed to be focused in only certain parts of the country.

There will be safe regions and cities of refuge. Yet regardless of where we live, it is better to be prepared and not have to use our preparations than to not be prepared when we need to be.

Our preparations need to be done in faith, not fear. Noah had faith to build the ark, as did Joseph when he helped prepare Egypt. The dreams The Lord gave them were evidence that He would help, but they did not just celebrate this, they took action. We must do the same.

Shoring up our faith in God is the most important thing we can do to prepare for what is coming. To do this, we need to understand that true faith in God is faith in Him, not an outcome. We must resolve to trust Him regardless of what happens.

Many suffer the shipwreck of their faith because they put more faith in their faith than they do in God. Others suffer the shipwreck of their faith because they put more faith in preferred outcomes than they do in God.

It is not wrong to pray for certain outcomes, but it is wrong to let this eclipse our faith in God. If our faith in God is rocked because we are disappointed by an outcome, then we had a distorted faith in something else, not Him.

We must trust that God is never unjust, and He prefers mercy over judgment. He is full of grace and mercy and extends them when He can. He loves all and desires for them to be saved. He takes no pleasure in the punishment of the wicked. However, there is a time when judgment is mercy and grace and is inevitable.

He disciplines those whom He loves, and His judgments are evidence that He has not given up on us. Here is a shocking factor proven by studies: As many as 90% of those claiming to be evangelical Christians have been taught more by the spirit of the world than by The Spirit of Truth.

The worldview of most Christians has been learned from the earthly, carnal perspective of the secular news, education, and other sources rather than from The Lord. For this reason we can expect most who claim to be Christian to be on the wrong side of the coming conflict, at least for a time.

So how do we prepare for this? First, let us be sure that we do not fall into that category. We can start by caring more for knowing the truth than we do for entertainment.

The word entertainment comes from the concept “to detain from entering.” There is a legitimate place for recreation, which comes from the words “to re-create,” but mindless entertainment is robbing many of their purpose in this life and the ability to know and discern the truth.

Revelation straight from The Father is the rock that The Lord said He would build His church on. We must do all we can to know Him, know His voice, and obey Him. We can accurately know everything that will come to pass but not be in His will, which is the only safe place to be in the times to come. If we are spending more time on entertainment than we are seeking Him, we are building on a foundation that will likely not survive the looming storms.

If we would each take this next month to remove the things in our lives that are wasting time and instead use the time to seek The Lord and get to know Him better, then there is nothing more profitable we could do to be ready for the future. Being ready is not just so we can be safe, but so that our lives are on solid ground and we can help pull others out of the quicksand.

If we take all of the wasted time and resources from our lives and use them instead to seek The Lord, it will pay great dividends for ourselves, our families, our communities, and our nations. Each one of us can make a big difference in the times to come, and we will if we abide in Him.

We have been called to be soldiers in His last-day army:

Suffer hardship with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No soldier in active service entangles himself in the affairs of everyday life, so that he may please the one who enlisted him as a soldier” (II Timothy 2:3-4).

We must get free of every entanglement that is keeping us from taking our place in His army and being the soldier we are called to be.

Brexit and Daniel’s Final World Empire

For several decades, Christians have speculated on whether or not the European Union is the final world empire outlined in the Bible. The Book of Daniel and the Book of Revelation point to a revived Roman Empire that will appear in the end times (Daniel 7:23; Revelation 17:10).

Since World War II, prophecy watchers have paid careful attention to the slow and steady unification of western Europe. Along the way, the effort has faced numerous roadblocks. These include squabbles over a single currency, trade protections, debt bailouts, and other issues. One of the latest is an effort to leave the Union.

In a June 2016 referendum, United Kingdom voters opted to leave the European Union. The media labeled the British exit vote “Brexit,” for “British exit,” and many quickly announced the death of the European Union, believing the vote would lead other nations to leave as well. But is this the most likely outcome? No. If anything, Brexit is just another indication bible prophecy students are correct when they compare the EU to Daniel’s revived Roman Empire.

The Latest News on Brexit

Almost three years after the UK shocked the world by voting “yes” to leaving the EU, they still haven’t left. For months, the British parliament has rejected Prime Minister Teresa May’s Brexit package. Some anti-Brexit politicians believe they can indefinitely delay a deal to leave the European Union or engineer another referendum. If so, the United Kingdom might not ever escape the orb of the giant European super state. But even if they do, it doesn’t mean the EU isn’t the revived Roman Empire mentioned in the Bible.

While some people think Brexit is a step backward for bible prophecy, I think it’s just the opposite. To me, Brexit is yet another reason to believe some form of the EU will become Daniel’s prophesied final empire. Why? Because the EU’s characteristics match those of the empire Daniel describes.

For instance, the Bible says this final world empire will be a kingdom:

  • Of ten nations (Daniel 2:41, Daniel 7:7)
  • From among the ancient Roman Empire (Daniel 9:26-27)
  • Made up of weak and strong nations (Daniel 2:42)
  • Of nations trying to strengthen themselves by forming alliances with each other (Daniel 2:43)
  • That fails to hold together or “gel,” just as iron and clay don’t stick together (Daniel 2:43)
  • Divided (Daniel 2:41)

A Global Empire

As I write this article, no empire rules the world. And that includes a global empire of ten nations or ten kings. So the EU in its present form is not the global empire foreseen by Daniel. However, this doesn’t mean it won’t become that empire. Most likely, it’s an early stage of what will become the Antichrist’s global empire. Why? Again, it fits every one of the characteristics outlined above. The Antichrist’s empire will be:

1) A Revived Roman Empire – The global empire from Daniel’s vision is built on the ashes of the ancient Roman Empire. Why do I say this? First, the ruler of this global empire is the Antichrist. According to Daniel, the Antichrist will arise from the nation whose armies destroyed the Temple and Jerusalem in A.D. 70 (Daniel 9:26). That nation was Rome. So the global empire’s ruler will come from Rome.

Second, when explaining Nebuchadnezzar’s dream, Daniel described five empires that will rule Israel before Jesus returns. Those empires were Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome, and a ten nation alliance (Daniel 2:36-45). He describes each successive kingdom, but he makes no distinction between the fourth kingdom and the ten nation alliance (Daniel 2:40-43). In other words, the ten nation alliance will be a new form of the fourth kingdom – Rome.

Later, Daniel has another vision. This time, he sees four beasts, each representing a world power that will conquer Israel (Daniel 7). We know the fourth beast is Rome because it conquers the third beast, Greece (Daniel 7:6). But we also know it will come back. Why? Because it “will rule the whole earth” (Daniel 7:23), and it will be ruled by the Antichrist (Daniel 7:24-25). Rome neither ruled the whole earth nor was it ruled by the Antichrist. Also, this empire is yet again described as a ten nation alliance (Daniel 7:20), and the ancient Roman Empire never took the form of a ten nation alliance.

Today, the EU sits on the ashes of the ancient Roman Empire. Ancient Rome occupied nearly every part of the current EU member nations, including Italy – home to Rome itself.

2) An Alliance of Weak and Strong Nations – The global empire Daniel described will be a group of weak and strong nations. Does this describe the EU? Yes. As I write this, the EU contains the world’s 4th, 5th, and 6th largest economies (Germany, the United Kingdom, and France). It also contains the world’s 98th, 102nd, and 124th largest economies (Estonia, Iceland, and Malta).

When it comes to military spending, the EU contains the world’s 6th, 7th, 9th, and 12th largest militaries (France, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Italy). Yet, it also contains the world’s 80th, 87th, 91st, and 93rd (Bulgaria, Lithuania, Estonia, and Latvia).

Alone, not a single EU nation is a world power. Together, they are the world’s greatest economic power. Combined, their military spending is second only to the United States. In fact, several European politicians have called for an EU army. Don’t doubt it – the EU is a superpower. It’s a revived Roman Empire made up of weak and strong nations. And this is what the Bible says will exist just before Jesus returns.

3) A Divided Alliance, Loosely Held Together – The global empire Daniel described will also be divided (Daniel 2:41). It will struggle to hold itself together, just as iron and clay struggle to hold themselves together (Daniel 2:43). Do we see this type of alliance when we look at the EU? Absolutely!

Since its inception, the EU has been an odd collection of politicians, governments, economies, currencies, and militaries. From the Schuman Declaration in 1950 to the Treaty of Lisbon in 2007, the rise of the EU has been marked by a struggle to agree on important issues.

These include arguments over a single currency (the United Kingdom and Denmark opted out), disagreements over how to handle debt crises (the Greek bailouts), and disputes over open borders (the Syrian refugee crisis). Each step along the way, the EU struggled to survive.

And this is where Brexit comes in. Critics point to Brexit as evidence the EU is not the coming global empire. But the exact opposite is true. Brexit is just the latest example of the EU’s struggle to stay together, “just as iron and clay don’t hold together.” In the June 2016 referendum, citizens of the UK voted to leave. Almost three years later, they still haven’t left.

Will they ever leave? I don’t know. Does it matter? I don’t think so. Because Brexit is a perfect example of why the EU is a “divided alliance” (Daniel 2:41). It’s a union of weak and strong nations struggling to bond together (Daniel 2:43). This is exactly how the Bible described the final world empire.

What Now?

A formal British exit from the European Union was scheduled to occur on March 29. After the British parliament failed to agree on an exit plan yet again, members voted to delay withdrawal until June 30. But it isn’t that simple. Unless the EU agrees to an extension, the March 29 deadline will still apply.

This means the UK could leave the EU without an exit deal in place. Such a scenario could wreak havoc on the UK economy and, quite possibly, the world economy. Because of the threat of economic disaster, some politicians are calling for a new referendum or even a parliamentary vote to overturn the will of the people. If they get their way, Brexit could be cancelled altogether.

All this volatility makes it more likely the EU is an early phase of the alliance Daniel described. It’s the mirror image of the revived Roman Empire the Bible says will appear in the last days (Daniel 2:40-43, Daniel 7:23-24). It’s made up of weak and strong nations (Daniel 2:42). It’s divided against itself (Daniel 2:41), and the effort of these nations to come together and strengthen themselves is volatile and unstable (Daniel 2:43).

These bible verses sound a lot like the EU, don’t they? I sure think so. Brexit isn’t the end of the EU. It’s just the latest event pointing to the rise of Daniel’s global empire. It’s another sign Jesus is coming!
