Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. (which means \u2018God is with us\u2019). (Isaiah 7:14 KJV; See Genesis 3:15)<\/p>\n

Fulfillment<\/b><\/p>\n

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. (Matthew 1:18 KJV; See Luke 1:26-37)<\/p>\n

MASSACRE OF BABIES<\/p>\n

Prophecy<\/b><\/p>\n

Thus saith the LORD; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rachel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not. (Jeremiah 31:15 KJV)<\/p>\n

Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations. The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. (Isaiah 9:1-2 KJV)<\/p>\n

AS A PROPHET<\/p>\n

The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken. (Deuteronomy 18:15 KJV)<\/p>\n

Fulfillment<\/b><\/p>\n

Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world. (John 6:14, KJV; See Acts 3:19-26)<\/p>\n

PRIEST IN THE ORDER OF MELCHIZEDEK<\/p>\n

Prophecy<\/b><\/p>\n

The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. (Psalm 110:4 KJV)<\/p>\n

Fulfillment<\/b><\/p>\n

Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. (Hebrews 6:20 KJV; See Hebrews 5:5-6; 7: 15-17)<\/p>\n

SOME OF HIS CHARACTERISTICS<\/p>\n

And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; (Isaiah 11:2 KJV; See Isaiah 61:1)<\/p>\n

And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. (Luke 2:52 KJV; See Luke 4:18)<\/p>\n

REJECTED BY HIS OWN PEOPLE<\/p>\n

He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not\u2026 (Isaiah 53:3 KJV)<\/p>\n

He came unto his own, and his own received him not. (John 1:11 KJV) \u00a0I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. TRIUMPHANT ENTRY<\/p>\n

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! \u00a0Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, Lowly and riding on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey. (Zechariah 9:9 NKJV)<\/p>\n
