Hypocrisy and Lawlessness at an All-Time High in America

Recently, I was listening to an interview with Chelsea Clinton, who stated how serious a Christian she was while promoting the cause of abortion. My brain froze when I heard her say abortion actually helps the economy.

This attitude portrays the hypocrisy that has swept our nation.

Hypocrisy

“So you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and iniquity” (Matt. 23:28).

When any nation can no longer judge between good and evil, right and wrong, and light and darkness, its people are reprobates. The Bible describes such as “becoming futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools” (Rom. 1:21b-22, ESV). It all begins when men “suppress the truth through unrighteousness” (v. 18, MEV).

The prophet said that when truth is fallen in the streets there is no righteousness, justice or honesty. This is the present picture of America.

“Our courts oppose the righteous, and justice is nowhere to be found. Truth stumbles in the streets, and honesty has been outlawed” (Isa. 59:14, NLT).

We can take the recent court hearings of Justice Brett Kavanaugh as a glaring example of that ancient prophecy.

Why is it that people, including many of our political leaders keep suppressing the truth? Why is it they have no common sense?

It is because when the truth is continually suppressed, God gives them up and gives them over to a debased or a reprobate mind that is void of judgment. Even though the following Scriptures speak of homosexuality, the principle applies to everything.

Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness (v. 24).

For this reason God gave them up to vile passions (v. 26).

God gave them over to a debased mind (v. 28).

Paul describes such people, not only in his letter to the Romans but in his other epistles as well. Here’s one example in his letter to Titus:

“They profess that they know God, but in their deeds they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and worthless for every good work” (Titus 1:16). This is blatant hypocrisy.

When a nation accepts pornography, but supposedly hates sexual abuse, hypocrisy has set in.

When a nation doesn’t believe in gender, but fights for women’s rights, hypocrisy has set in.

When a nation believes no child should be left behind, but aborts over tens of millions of babies, hypocrisy has set in.

Many call themselves Christians while opposing God’s moral law and every truth that Jesus and the early apostles penned and taught.

Useful Idiots and Lawlessness

In political jargon, a “useful idiot” is a derogatory term for a person perceived as a propagandist for a cause of whose goals they are not fully aware and who is used cynically by the leaders of the cause. The term was originally used to describe non-communists regarded as susceptible to communist propaganda and manipulation.

Barrack Obama and his administration were a modern-day national example of leaders who shaped many more Americans into useful idiots and made them susceptible to a radical socialist agenda that induced lawlessness, and even a new level of perversion that has infiltrated our nation. We’ve lost our moral compass. Confusion now marks our degenerated society. Lawless mobs are on the increase.

Now in the latest controversy, people are telling us that it’s un-Christian to close our borders to illegal immigrants. What? There is not one iota of Scripture in the entire Bible that says a nation must receive a horde of thugs crashing the border illegally so it can be a “Christian nation.” Many of our leaders have become so open-minded their brains have fallen out. These are indeed new levels of stupid.

Whatever happened to basic common sense? Borders exist for security and protection of its citizens from its enemies who want to rape them and pillage them and live independently of the nation’s laws. Duh.

Building a wall is more scriptural than any other brainless suggestion we are hearing. Walled cities existed in the Bible. All nations have borders because they are nations.

Why is this so hard to understand?

People who want to enjoy the benefits of America but not live according to its laws should never be allowed in. We already have drug lords, gangs, ghettos, and Black Lives Matter groups here that say they are going to live in our land but not by our laws. These lawless ones victimize thousands of people and never learn that the system they hate is the very source of their prosperity.

Enforcing laws solve all these problems. Mr. President, please stick to your guns, and let our troops use them if necessary to protect our borders. Lawlessness must not be allowed to escalate. Hypocrisy and lawlessness at are an all-time high because the truth of the Scriptures has been disregarded and lightly esteemed—proving once again that our very first president got it right.

“It is impossible to rightly govern a nation without God and the Bible.” —George Washington

With so many in the House and Senate having succumbed to the same sexual sins they accuse Justice Kavanaugh of, how could they so proudly and arrogantly point the finger at him? It is the same condition as that of the Laodiceans of whom Jesus said believed they “were rich and in need of nothing”, but in fact were “wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked.”

Among them there are still many church goers, but they are not humble, broken, and contrite. Rather, they fit the awful description of what the apostle described of a last day people in our aforementioned texts.

Here’s the good news! As this cloud of gross darkness continues to envelop our nation and the world, many more people are feeling its effects and being increasingly sensitized to the emptiness of their own hearts.

I believe this clash between darkness and light could result in another civil war right here in our own nation, but will also result in another great awakening and an unprecedented harvest of souls. As always the devil has overplayed his hand, and what he meant for utter evil and destruction shall turn for great good.

I see an increase of judgment and revival moving simultaneously within our land. I see a remnant Church increasing in prayer, purity, and power.
