Before the election, pundits all over the place somberly warned that if Donald Trump lost, his followers (referred to as a “basket of deplorables” by Hillary Clinton) would take to the streets in violent protest. So be ready!

Well, they got it half-right at least (just about the only thing they got right in the last 18 months!). Someone’s supporters took to the streets in “violent protest.” It just wasn’t Donald Trump’s supporters!

Never mind that I doubt there would have been “violent protests” had Mr. Trump lost. His supporters seem mostly to be mature, conscientious, realistic, patriotic adults.

Not so with some of Mrs. Clinton’s supporters it now seems. She lost. Fair and square. In fact, she lost so bad that, contrary to recent DNC practice, she’s not even asking for major recounts. I suppose the DNC realizes that to do so would run the risk of revealing major examples of attempted election fraud.

But I digress.

It is amusing — though terribly disappointing — that we are having to endure a disgusting national temper tantrum. No doubt, most of it is organized and promoted by far-left agitator organizations (such as MoveOn.org and Black Lives Matter) largely funded by Mr. George Soros, whom I have discussed previously on this program.

An interesting side note. MoveOn.org was founded to urge Americans to “move on” and stop concentrating on Bill Clinton’s disgusting and criminal behavior during his time in the White House. Not important, I suppose, but interesting nonetheless.

It’s also interesting that some of Mrs. Clinton’s supporters turned out to oddly resemble the “basket of deplorables” she attributed to Mr. Trump.

All in all, I’d say this national tantrum is giving America’s “millennials” somewhat of a bad name. Of course, who can blame them? They’ve grown up receiving “participation prizes” in school and sports. Never learning that in real life there are winners and losers. But I suspect it won’t improve from here on out.

I guess that soon some enlightened educator will determine that even “participation prizes” make non-participants feel bad. So we should give out prizes just for “being.” That way, everyone will feel included. Unless you’re dead, and then you probably won’t care.

But I digress, again.

The bottom line is that America is going through somewhat of a national convulsion brought about by forces that do not want to see America abandon the path toward one-world globalism and reassert itself as a sovereign nation.

These are forces that detest the fact that America’s freedom is founded on and guaranteed by America’s virtue. They understand that if we forfeit our Judeo-Christian virtue, we will lose that hard-won freedom.

Just as the Bible predicts for the final days of this Age of Grace.

By the way, please pray for Mr. Trump’s personal safety. The forces that oppose him are so dogmatic — and in many cases, evil — that I believe his life may be in more danger than previous presidents-elect.

Speaking of danger, that is exactly what Israel is facing during the final few weeks of the current “lame duck” administration.

Writing in Bloomberg News, Eli Lake noted that some of Israel’s friends in Washington fear “the threat of a last-minute speech, executive order, or UN action.”

The United Nations is especially worrying. Michael Snyder notes: “Barack Obama knows that he is the only one standing in the way of a UN Security Council resolution that would formally recognize a Palestinian state…. If Obama decided not to use the U.S. veto power to block such a resolution, it would be legally binding on both Israel and the Palestinians, and the next president would not be able to go back and reverse course.”

Given this administration’s history of slights and insults directed at Israel and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, such a vindictive move is not out of the realm of possibility.

Recently, Secretary of State John Kerry refused to assure Mr. Netanyahu that the U.S. would have Israel’s back at the UN Security Council in the waning days of Obama’s term.

I believe that one of the great tests of Barack Obama’s presidency will be the measure of his personal integrity in his final days in office. If he fails, it will have lasting and dramatic impact on Israel’s safety in the near future.

Again, just as the Bible predicts for these days.

All one has to do to see the crux of the matter is look at the electoral map. The states of the Northeast, heavily populated by those supportive of the globalist, power elite mindset, and those of the West Coast (same), all went to Hillary Clinton. So-called “flyover country” except for Illinois, all the Southeast, and the inland portion of the Northwest, all voted for Donald Trump.

And if one looks at the breakdown county by county, the real divide is still clearer: the “blue” areas of Hillary supporters are all the big and larger medium-sized cities. They subsist in vast seas of “red” outside the cities, even in so-called “blue states.”

The divide is as stark as I have ever seen it. We are indeed “two Americas.”

We are talking about two incommensurable mindsets and ways of seeing the world that have been battling, and will continue to battle, for control over not just the U.S. but the entire Western world, and more besides. In my last article I used the terms New America versus Old America. ‘Incommensurable,’ by the way, means approximately, ‘unable to be brought under a single shared vocabulary or consensus, and/or a single set of legitimizing rules agreeable to all parties to a dispute.’

The word seems perfect for the two mindsets battling for control over the public consciousness in the U.S. right now, neither of which considers the other legitimate.

The mindset that voted for Hillary Clinton sees itself as well-educated, sophisticated, cosmopolitan, supportive of what it calls diversity (the diversity of faces), tolerant, etc., etc. Its basic premises, stated or not, are those of secular materialism and worldliness. It has little use for religion, and sees allegiance to tradition as a sign of backwardness.

It disdains such things as private gun ownership; city-dwelling pseudo-sophisticates are basically afraid of guns. They make wonkish pronouncements on the issues of our times, on the strength of Ivy League degrees; or they working in or with the leviathan banks or other mega-corporations being paid more in a year than most people outside their enclaves will see in their lives; the elite mindset includes West Coast celebrities Hillary consistently drew on for support; it also includes, finally, the bulk of those who draw federal pay-checks, who as cogs in the technocratic machinery of the Deep State have no fundamental problem with centralization, micro-management, or top-down policies as a means of getting things done.

We know what’s best for you and we’ll do it for you whether you like it or not perhaps summarizes the elitist outlook.

The mindset that voted for Donald Trump is the mindset on Main Street, not Wall Street. Many of them have spent lives working with their hands, living in small communities or rural settings.

They intuitively distrust massive changes they never voted for and can’t control. Guns don’t bother them, since they grew up with guns. Handling guns safely is second nature to them. They are skeptical of the economics-über-allesmindset of the city people. They do not trust anyone motivated solely by money and power, and are open to the idea that the wealthy and powerful have routinely conspired against them.

They adhere to one of any number of Christian denominations; questioning God’s existence literally doesn’t make sense to them. In terms of politics, when they are actually interested in politics, they are small government folks who trust representatives they know personally and can drop in on for a visit to express a concern.

They prefer to live in a decentralized world, not a world of global economic forces dominated by city dwellers with soft hands, probably unable to change a tire or do simple household repairs, living in gated communities hundreds of miles away.

Leave us alone could well summarize what they want.

The latter have successfully expropriated and reclaimed the label deplorables. They took Hillary’s snarky comment and tossed it back in her face. Some of the Deplorables are now wearing the label as a badge of honour!

Neither group sees the other as well-intentioned, or as having any monopoly on truth or “the facts.” The elites have spent the past year tearing their hair out as their control over the national conversation slipped away. Their dominance of mainstream corporate media, emphasizing name-calling over substance, with its blatant pro-Hillary bias, backfired badly. Mainstream media is now largely discredited. Does anyone still take the Clinton News Network (CNN) seriously?

The elite mindset and its published products paraded Hillary as “superbly qualified,” or even “the most qualified candidate in history” (wow!) based on her time in government; its authors never discussed the scandals that have dogged her career from the get-go.

The Main Street, Old America mindset, whose stronghold is now the Internet and alternative media, are content to note the scandals, events such as Benghazi and the destruction of Libya she owns, as well as the “dirty money” finding its way into Clinton Foundation coffers. They concluded long ago that the woman is a pathological liar, very possibly a criminal who, if tried by the laws that apply to ordinary mortals, would have been behind bars years ago.

The incommensurability of the mindsets is further manifest in that the pseudo-sophisticates remain headscratchingly clueless as to why their heroine lost this election all across Middle America—all despite the “experts” polls that placed her ahead. This headscratching cluelessness stretches across mainstream media, mainstream economic-financial commentary, and Hollywood…….

These two mindsets are on collision course, and that’s not going to change!

I will look down the road, long term, therefore, and suggest that they cannot exist indefinitely under the same government. The one will eventually use the machinery of government to try to destroy the other, which may be forced into violence to defend itself. The result will be a bloody civil war which could have millions of casualties.

Peaceful separation makes far better sense to me, not just as a strategy but as an inevitability. The elites have no reason to allow this to happen, either, and have been fairly successful labeling all secession talk as “fringe.”

I suspect not even the Trumpists are ready for this. But as gridlock and dysfunction continue to fester at the center, with national indebtedness continuing to rise (it is unclear that even Trump can prevent this), eventually the corporate state centered in Washington and Wall Street will lose the will to stop it — just as the Soviet Communists lost their will to continue their empire.

What the “secessionists” have to do in this case is be patient, gain in wisdom and strategy, and begin working towards influence and eventual control in state legislatures, governorships, and perhaps entire regions.

Perhaps, somewhere down the road, we will have several Deplorable nations! The elites, in this case, can turn their cities into cesspools of crime, corruption, bureaucracy, chronic instability, and cultural filth if that is their choice.

Editor’s Note: It seems obvious that the organized chaos was put in place well before the U.S election was held. Those protesting only like democracy when the result goes their way.

Bleary-eyed from the 16+ hour flight from Asia, I checked my phone last night once the plane landed to find that riots have broken out across the Land of the Free.

It was enough to wake me from my jet lag.

All the televisions in the airport terminal were showing footage of the chaos along with occasional interviews with some of the protestors.

Naturally there was outcry against racism, sexism, violence, and all the usual anti-Trump arguments.

(Which I found ironic given this video of a Trump voter being viciously beaten in Chicago.) -Video has been removed by the Ministry of Truth, but you can still find it here

But one of the recurring themes from these protestors being interviewed, primarily young people, was that Trump wasn’t going to do anything about student debt.

This was a major issue during the election, one that Bernie Sanders grabbed onto with promises of free education and debt reduction.

His message resonated with young people.

I’ve see this same theme all over the world, from Chile to the United Kingdom– students want free education, underpinned by a fundamental belief that quality education is a basic human right to be provided by the government.

Even if you agree with this assertion, there’s a MAJOR problem with the logic: these students are conflating “education” with “university degree.”

Anytime young people tell me they’re entitled to free education, I always ask the same questions–

• How many books did you read in the past six months?
• How many times did you go to the local library?
• How many free online courses from top universities like Harvard, MIT, and Georgetown did you take at edx.org?
• How often have you actually used the multitude of free resources at your disposal to educate yourself?

Most times I just get the deer in the headlights look.

The truth is that they’re not interested in free education.

They just want a free university degree… a piece of paper that confers neither education nor any guarantee of success in life.

Candidly, many of the important things we need to learn in life are not taught in school.

I’ve started more businesses than I can count, some of them spectacular failures, others highly successful. I didn’t learn any of those skills at school.

And everything I learned about farming, for example, was on the land, not in the classroom.

This is true with many other elements that help us achieve success in life– business, investing, networking, romance, personal health, etc.

Understandably, certain professions do require formal schooling.

But that’s not really the point.

This is ultimately about people expecting the government to steal from others and give them something of questionable value for free when they haven’t yet taken steps to provide for themselves.

One could make the same argument that access to healthy food is a fundamental human right, and that the government should provide organic vegetables for free.

But how many seeds are people planting for themselves? A tomato plant can be grown from a single seed and about one square foot of space with almost no effort.

You’ll eat better (and sooner) taking matters into your own hands rather than waiting for the government to pass some terrible law in order to give you something for free.

It’s the same with education.

Yes, the cost of university in the Land of the Free is out of control. And it really doesn’t make sense for young people to start their lives buried in debt.

But rather than demand a bunch of laws be passed (which, even if this ever happens, will take years), you’ll be much better off taking matters into your own hands.

This starts with expanding your thinking.

Rather than limit yourself to traditional options (i.e. I’m from the US therefore I must attend a U.S university in order to be successful), consider whether university is the right option at all.

If you truly want to learn a highly valued skill that can pay the bills and provide income security (sales and marketing, business management, investing, design, web development, e-commerce, etc.) you may be better off eschewing university and instead learning directly from someone who has mastered what you want to know.

It’s an extreme example, but you would learn more about investing by working for Warren Buffett than in any university program.

This simple concept of apprenticeship has worked for thousands of years: if you want to be successful, learn from successful people.

Even if you still think that university is the right choice (which it very well may be), expand your thinking to the whole world.

There are plenty of high quality universities overseas that you can attend for almost nothing.

Top universities in Germany and Switzerland, for example, offer degree programs entirely in English, and you can attend for less than the cost of a bus pass.

To boot, going abroad gives you a lot of great international experience and the chance to achieve fluency in a foreign language.

So the end result is that you still get that piece of paper (your university degree), along with tons of other benefits and experiences, with almost none of the costs.

Just like I always try to point out with other solutions we discuss at Sovereign Man, this is an option that makes sense… no matter what.

Well, the fat lady sang and Jezebel was cast down from her high tower, spattering blood and guts all over the pavement for the dogs to lick up. Excuse me for mixing metaphors here, but you get the idea.

Poor Hildabeast. The brass ring she’s worked 40+ years to grasp was at her fingertips, only to be snatched away by a neophyte with a spray-on tan and a bad comb over. Just think of all the animals sacrificed and infant blood consumed during those pot-luck, Spirit Cooking sessions she attended, in her quest for power; all wasted.

My son Ben gets the prize for the best description of the shocking upset of Donald Trump winning the presidency: “Well, now Hillary Clinton knows firsthand what it feels like to be aborted right before birth!” That’s my boy!

There are a few things about this election that the Lord wants me to point out to you, dear readers. First of all, there is no doubt the defeat of Hillary Clinton was a bona fide miracle resulting from Almighty God’s gracious answer to the pleas of His people all over the world. Do not forget that, and be sure to give glory to the One to whom glory is due.

According to WND, believers all across the world were corporately praying throughout election night, interceding, repenting, and begging for the mercy of God on this nation. The timing of when the election results began to turn around is astounding! Simply astounding. Our God reigns and DOES hear the prayers of His people. Please take a couple of minutes to read this article.

However, despite this unfamiliar, delightful tinge of hope in the air, Trump is STILL not our savior. He is only one man, up against a House of Representatives and Senate filled with corrupt, globalist elite who live to engineer methods of lining their pockets through backroom deals, and who schemed to ensure he wasn’t elected.

You’re deluding yourself if you think Mr. Trump will be able to keep 1/10th of his promises, even with a Republican congress. He plans to upset their applecart, “drain the swamp” so to speak, and they aren’t about to allow that!

He’s also going to have to continue to deal with a very angry liberal mainstream media who hates his guts, and will go to any length to derail his presidency before it even gets started.

Add to all that the thousands of liberals currently rioting and sniveling in their tai-soy, sugar-free lattes, while damaging the vehicles and businesses of hardworking Americans, all because things didn’t go their way for once.

These people have nothing better to do than post vitriolic hatred on their Facebook pages and tweet whining appeals for someone to assassinate a man who was fairly elected, which is highly illegal. I hope the FBI identifies these panicking snowflakes and arrests them for making terroristic threats, just like they did when Obama was first elected!

I must admit, I remember the weeks-long demonstrations, riots and pillaging conservatives committed after both of Obama’s elections. Oh, wait…that’s right. There were no demonstrations or acting out! Conservatives tend to respect the rule of law and property rights. You know, the characteristics of grown-ups?

I’ve stated before that I greatly fear for this man’s life and that of his family. IF he lives to be sworn into office on January 20, 2017, the uphill battle he’ll be forced to wage during his tenure will make his election campaign look like a carefree vacation.

I don’t know how anyone can possibly cope with that much resistance and subterfuge. Pray for him and for Vice President Pence. The enemy and minions of hell are gnashing their teeth in rage right now.

As you probably already know, these demonstrations against Trump’s election are being organized and funded by everyone’s favorite Nazi collaborator, George Soros. His anarchic organizations, MoveOn.org and BlackLivesMatter.org are behind bussing in and paying thousands of rioters to blend in with peaceful demonstrators to cause chaos.

That’s pretty much all Soros knows how to do. Foment chaos and destruction. Dude really needs to get an honest job! So, what you’re seeing on your TV news is in large part, fake rage.

There are several scenarios that can result from this.

The parents of the millennials who are wasting time marching, could threaten to lock them out of the house if they don’t knock it off. That would be nice, but I don’t see that happening. The vast majority of the parents of these self-absorbed morons are left over, drug-addled hippies of the late 60’s and early 70’s, and are just as upset Hillary didn’t win. After all, they were really counting on that free college tuition for their little darlings!

I find it telling that Obama and Hillary aren’t speaking out against these rioters. Hmm, kinda makes me wonder if they’re colluding with Soros to allow destruction by their obvious silence. If either one of them were a true leader of any worth, they would make a joint appearance and tell the sensitive little crybaby brats to go home, and prepare to get one of the jobs that will hopefully come back to this country. No more sleeping in till noon.

If Obama and/or Hillary refuse to enter the fray and call for calm, you can lay the destruction at their feet. Will Obama allow and even tacitly encourage the riots to continue and spread, leading to a declaration of martial law? I put nothing past the man. He has but little time left to finish off America.

Then, there’s NATO, who continues to provoke and aggravate Russia by their build-up of military assets and hardware at Russia’s border. Contrary to mainstream media reports, WE are the aggressors in this frosty relationship. Putin is no angel, but he has demonstrated incredible restraint in the face of being bullied, threatened, maligned and nonsensically blamed for interference in America’s business.

We have NO right trying to depose Assad. NONE. Just like we had no business going into the Middle East to bomb and foment regime change in Egypt, Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. What the Bush and Obama administrations have done over there is ALL about the oil, folks. It’s all about a pipeline the globalists want to run through Turkey to supply Europe and cut Russia out of its main source of income.

It’s not about trying to spread democracy. What a load! No, it’s all about greed, pure and simple. Innocent civilian deaths are just a part of doing business to these wicked leaders.

Will Obama and NATO continue to flick the ear of Putin, daring him to launch an attack in defense of his country, or that of his ally, Syria? The industrial military complex President Eisenhower warned us about in his final address to the American people, love nothing more than war and carnage. There’s lots of money to be made in the death and destruction of others, and they are salivating at the prospect of WWIII.

That’s one reason the Powers That Be hate Trump so much. He is a reasonable man who’s not interested in ruling the world. He’s genuinely interested in making deals with other countries that are in America’s favor, but which also benefit the other party. Oh, that this were a different era…I honestly believe he’s got the potential to be one of the greatest presidents this country has ever seen.

But, this time in history is NOT normal by any stretch. These are still the last days, people. God may have been merciful to block Hillary from office, but that doesn’t mean America will be turned around.

Happy days are NOT here again. Sorry. Like I said, Donald Trump is only one man. Just a flawed human being up against impossible odds and increasing powers of darkness over this land.

You want to know why America will not be restored? Because we don’t deserve to be restored! That’s why! There is little to no repentance for our national sins and abominations against the God of our fathers. As clearly demonstrated from the election results, nearly half of the citizens of this country have been infected with Marxist/Communist ideology from our schools and universities over the last 50 years. The rest still cling to the Constitution, and at least have some respect for the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, even if they don’t consider Jesus to be their Lord and Savior.

Then, there are the Christians-in-name-only, who warm the cushy pews of the mega-churches and cathedrals, listening to a different gospel every week consisting of prosperity doctrine, or “loving” acceptance of all sorts of sinful lifestyles. You really believe God will hear to their prayers, when even THEY don’t see their need to repent and return to the basic tenets of the Bible?!

Do you realize how very small the remnant of true, God-fearing, Christ loving, cross-dragging Christians there are in America? Think about it. Seriously. It’s a pretty small club. That’s because membership is so expensive. It costs us everything to join and remain in good standing. To be considered, all hopes, dreams, desires, plans, flagrant sins, and ambitions have to be surrendered at the foot of the cross. Not only that, this commitment must be continually pondered and updated. We no longer live for ourselves or earthly things; our goal is to further the Kingdom of our Jesus.

It’s a mighty tough row to hoe, and most people just don’t want to live their lives like that. It ain’t fun sometimes! But, it is and will be well worth it in the end.

Were America filled with true Christians as described above, I do believe there would be great hope to restore this nation to its former glory and standing in the world as a shining beacon on a hill. But it’s not filled with believers like that. Not even close.

Read the book of Jonah and see for yourself what it took to avert the judgment and destruction of Nineveh. Every single being with a heartbeat from royalty to the beasts of burden, was commanded by the King to fast and repent in sackcloth and ashes, for the sins of the city, and to beg God for mercy.

Can you see that happening in America? Did it happen after 9/11? Nope. That was a stern warning shot across the bow, but the churches were only filled for about 3 weeks until everyone returned to business as usual. Since 9/11, we’ve overthrown the historical basic unit of human families, traditional marriage between one man and one woman, in favor of sodomite unions.

Hillary Clinton and her crowd have no problem openly admitting their belief that murdering a full-term, viable baby, partially hanging out of the birth canal, is perfectly acceptable in their eyes. What’s the big deal? After all, in her words, the unborn have no rights. Tell that to the Creator, Hildabeast!

Nope, people, I’m sorry. America will not be turned around, nor restored. Nor, should it be. Why would anyone believe we garner God’s favor or deserve His blessing? Read your Bibles and pay attention to how He dealt with rebellious, wicked nations. He warned and warned the people through prophets; He allowed their crops/livestock to be destroyed; He sent destructive storms and disease to get their attention; when all else failed, He delivered them into the hands of their enemies. EVEN ISRAEL, His chosen people, were taken captive by the Assyrians and the Babylonians.

What in the world makes us think He won’t deal the same way with us? In my ever so humble opinion, the Lord mercifully answered the plea of His people to keep Hillary Clinton out of office.

This might possibly make life in the United States a little easier until judgment comes. Perhaps it will be worse. Perhaps Trump will end up being our worst nightmare, although I’ll admit it’s unlikely anyone could top the Hildabeast in that category.

All I know is America remains unrepentant and rebellious against a very Holy God. He’s watching right now to see who will put their faith and trust in the man, Donald Trump, to provide for and protect their future, and who will continue to look to Him for the same. I am delighted and relieved that Hillary didn’t win, but one fact remains:

Donald Trump is STILL not our Savior.

Augustine of Hippo reportedly said, “Unless humility precede, accompany, and follow up the good we accomplish, unless we keep our eyes fixed on it, pride will snatch everything right out of our hands.”

Pride says, “I have made it. Its mine to enjoy. I will live larger and blessed wherever and however I please. Whereas humility says, “I have nothing that was not given to me by God. The Bible tells us, God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.  Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall. (Proverbs 16:18)

President-elect Trump himself might have been a very prideful man. Americans looked at him and saw their own dreams of pride, opulence and success. His prideful character was publicly mocked by the President Obama in 2011, during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner as depicted in the image above.

He became a poster boy of the modern materialistic age but those who closely know him say he has a softer side. Stories of him helping others in need have surfaced here and here which proves the Lord might have changed his heart. He might have realized that greatness comes only from serving others and he wanted to help people in more difficult circumstances.

Many Christian leaders have counselled him and prayed with him. One of these is James Robinson who says Trump and Pence expressed an attitude of humility and gratitude of prayer.  Here is James Robinson describing had how amazed he’s been at Trump’s kindness and openness to hear his heart:

In 55 years of ministry I have never been received more graciously, with such sincere interest and deep appreciation. I pray the world sees the humility and eagerness to discover what is best for everyone that I’ve observed the past seven months.

Mr. Trump’s acceptance speech late last night…. flowed with humility and a deep sense of gratitude, along with a sincere desire to build necessary unity in our nation. The way he specifically complimented individuals and reached out to Sec. Clinton and all of America in what was for him a joyous occasion spoke volumes. That’s the Donald Trump that I, Dr. Ben Carson, Gov. Huckabee and others have come to know very well.

When I talked to Mr. Trump this morning, he was thrilled and overflowing with gratitude for the evangelical support.  I said, “I just want to help. I want to see you surrounded with wisdom and prayer.” He said, “James, surround me with it! Surround me! And don’t ever let me forget it.” I heard in those moments, in that tone and spirit, the graciousness, humility and the desire to hear wise counsel and to be surrounded by those best qualified to serve the people and the future of freedom I’ve been listening to for months.

We’ve all seen that pride is not a just a private matter. It’s been part of the political spectrum in the U.S elections. Bitter words and confusion were the hallmarks of politics both from politicians and the people.

Pride is what is causing riots right now, instead of humbly accepting the choice of the majority, the real racism, (that has been characterized on Trump), violence, hate and bigotry of the opposition is finally coming out of the closet.

Pride causes strife led and broken homes, wars and bloodshed among nations, envy and jealousies, elitism, character assassinations, theft, and even murder.

Ironically, when the President was rightly mocking Trump about his pride, not too long after that, to be precise about 3 years in his second term, he was doing the very same thing, and on a far larger prideful scale–celebrating a gay marriage Supreme Court ruling with a rainbow colored White House; something the Lord calls an abomination.

The truth is, there is nothing so natural to man, nothing so insidious and hidden from our sight, nothing so difficult and dangerous as pride.  The Tree of the good of the knowledge of good and evil in the garden are God’s revelation of how this spirit of pride entered the human race.

And when the woman saw that the tree was good (suitable and pleasant) for food (Lust of the flesh) and that it was delightful to look at, (Lust of the eyes) and a tree to be desired in order to make one wise (Pride of life).  Genesis 3:1-7) Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die” (Genesis 3:4).

In other words, there won’t be any consequences for your actions. “For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil” (Genesis 3:5).

Just like Adam and Eve violated God’s will and acted independently of Him, it’s still the same temptation of the whole human race—to direct our own destiny and be our own god which is the theory of the New Age movement humanists and the so called global elites who want the New World Order, actually it’s a (new world disorder).

This is Satan’s oldest trick instituted when he first approached Eve. He questioned the integrity of God’s command and appealed to her selfish desire to be like God. There is something selfish in each one of us to want to believe that we can know about things better than God—it is called the pride of life. Author C. S. Lewis said:

What Satan put into the heads of our remote ancestors was the idea that they could “be like gods”—could set up on their own as if they had created themselves—be their own masters—invent some sort of happiness for themselves apart from God. And out of that hopeless attempt has come nearly all that we call human history—money, poverty, ambition, war, prostitution, classes, empires, slavery—the long terrible story of man trying to find something other than God which will make him happy.

Andrew Murray has written a good book on the subject of humility and pride. Readers who are interested to study this book in greater detail are warmly commended to obtain it from here. He writes,

When the Old Serpent, he who had been cast out from heaven for his pride, whose whole nature as devil was pride, spoke his words of temptation into the ear of Eve, these words carried with them the very poison of hell. And when she listened and yielded her desire and her will to the prospect of being as God, knowing good and evil, the poison entered into her soul, blood and life, destroying forever that blessed humility and dependence upon God which would have been our everlasting happiness.

Her life and the life of the race that sprang from her became corrupted to its very root with that most terrible of all sins and all curses, the poison of Satan’s own pride…. It is pride that made redemption needful. It is from our pride we need above everything to be redeemed. And our insight into the need of redemption will largely depend upon our knowledge of the terrible nature of the power that has entered our being.

Down at the bottom, the pride of life is the problem everywhere. The prophet Ezekiel put it this way: “Behold, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom; pride, overabundance of food, (self-indulgence, carnality selfishness a me, myself, and I attitude) prosperous ease, and idleness (which is laziness) were hers and her daughters; neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.” (Ezekiel 16:49 AMP)

It was the lack of concern for the poor that produced homosexuality and adultery. We cannot strengthen the hand of the poor and the needy if we are selfish, self-indulgent, and indifferent to others.

Pride, or the loss of humility, is the root of every sin. Humility is bringing all that you are under the control of Jesus Christ. It is becoming God dependent. This kind of thinking is contrary to the world’s mindset, which promotes independence and self at the centre of everything.

Jonathan Edwards said, “Nothing sets a person so much out of the devil’s reach as humility.” And nothing is more effective in developing humility like failure.

In fact humility and character development is cultivated in the classroom of humiliation and failure. My pride has been tested through failure and disappointments. God has used failure and disappointments to reveal my need for total dependence upon Him and submit to His Lordship in every area of my life. We are commanded to humble ourselves, to  be as counted nothing and to submit to God. (See 1 Peter 5:6-7)

I am reminded of German theologian and pastor, Helmut Thielicke, who amid the ruins of a defeated Germany during World 2 warned his listeners that:

The worship of success is generally the form of idol worship the devil cultivates most assiduously…Success is the greatest narcotic of all.” Casting down the cross of Christ! Intoxicated with success! Substituting the temporary for the permanent!

Thus was the church and the entire country crushed, crushed on the rock called God “who is not mocked.” Destroyed for being blinded by the pride of nationalism, instead of being humbled by its great need for repentance. The church stood with pride, but it would not bow in humility.

We need to reiterate that the problems of our time are not economical or political or social issues as important as these may be. The central issues of our time are moral and spiritual in nature, and our calling as a church is to declare Christ’s forgiveness, hope, and transforming power to a world that does not know or follow Him.

One hundred years ago, one of the British preachers said, “Every time you have an election, you throw one lot of sinners out, and you vote another lot of sinners in!” Our human governments are not godly and our leaders are not godly men! We might have some born-again Christians in politics, but our governments, our nations, and laws, everywhere are controlled by ungodly men and women!

So the kingdoms of this world and the political systems we live under today are not the end! Jesus Christ is the beginning and the end. God is going to bring His Kingdom on earth. The devil will be in chains! Until that happens, what must we do? We need to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus said that before the end of this age, the gospel of the kingdom must be preached then shall the end come.

Therefore, American Christians and others around the world, let us repent, humble ourselves and pray for our families, churches, and a true Holy Spirit inspired revival and a Great spiritual Awakening in our nations.

Pray for our newly elected leaders whether you agree with them or not, as God is the One Who appoints leaders, which is why we are exhorted to pray and make intercessions for all kings and all who are in positions of authority or high responsibility, that [outwardly] we may pass a quiet and undisturbed life [and inwardly] a peaceable one in all godliness and reverence and seriousness in every way. (1Timothy 2:1-2)

We also need to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, (Psalm 122:6) and the current events in the Middle East. The Bible commands us to pray for all men including the Arab nations and Muslims that they may repent and come to saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Battle has just begun! The Lord might have just given us another opportunity to share the gospel and make disciples according to the command He gives in Matthew 28:19 “Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

With, arguably, the most critical election in America’s history just days away (or hours away) our current President, Barack Obama, may be on the verge of a test like few other world leaders have ever known. In fact, it may have already begun.

Recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin shocked the world when he sent a naval task force toward Syria — through the English Channel! It was an obvious show of strength and belligerence against the West.

Seven Russian warships escorted Russia’s only aircraft carrier right through the famous Strait of Dover, within sight of the storied white cliffs.

By sending the carrier group to Syria, Putin is strengthening his presence in the Middle East. The Russian and American militaries are both active in Syria, but make no mistake, Russia is in charge.

The Russian task force joins warships from Russia’s Black Sea fleet that have been dispatched to the Mediterranean carrying nuclear-capable missiles.

Russia has also sent nuclear-capable Iskander-M missiles to the region bordering Poland and hundreds of paratroopers for military exercises in Egypt. They have suspended three separate nuclear agreements with the United States.

Last summer, President Putin warned journalists that “the world is being pulled in an irreversible direction.”

The Russians have also just completed a “nuclear war drill” that involved 40 million people practicing ways to survive atomic war.

Is Putin actually preparing for war with the United States? Is he sending a message to President Obama? How will the President handle increasing Russian aggression in the waning days of his administration?

That’s his big test.

But there’s an even bigger question. Why? Why is Putin testing Obama and why now?

Although President Obama is already considered a “lame duck” President — since he cannot serve another term — after Tuesday’s election, his lame duck status grows even more acute.

Is Putin testing Obama to see if he will wilt under the pressure of a nuclear ultimatum? And if Putin decides he will, then Obama and the United States may get a nuclear ultimatum, and probably before the end of the year.

It will be disguised as something else, but it will be real.

With this President, Putin may see an opportunity for a world-changing moment. He seems to be testing Obama’s resolve right now. If he fails the test, it may invite nuclear blackmail or even World War III.

In 1962, God used a profane, deceptive, and womanizing President to save civilization as we know it. His name was John F. Kennedy.

That moment of truth became known as the “Cuban Missile Crisis.”

At the time, most Americans understood that the U.S. and the Soviet Union were on the brink of nuclear war. We now know that they were closer than anyone at the time realized.

Information discovered after the collapse of the Soviet Union revealed that the commanders on the ground in Cuba already had battlefield nuclear weapons and were authorized to use them if necessary.

Some of Kennedy’s top military advisers encouraged him to make an all-out assault on the nascent Soviet military sites on the island. Had he done so, it would have triggered the use of those weapons and the nuclear dominoes would have fallen fast all over the world.

But for the hand of God in that crisis, you and I would probably not be here today.

We now know that the choices President Kennedy made in that critical time were influenced by a book called The Guns of August. It was Barbara Tuchman’s examination of the events and decisions that triggered World War I.

We also now know that Ms. Tuchman’s historical assertions were largely incorrect in that book, based on new information about Germany discovered in recent years.

However, even though her history was wrong, the lessons she taught were perfect for President Kennedy in 1962.

There was tremendous danger in showing weakness, so the President couldn’t let the Soviets establish nuclear launch platforms in Cuba. But in resisting the Soviets, he couldn’t let a mistake trigger a sequence of events that would have caused the world to descend into nuclear chaos.

So he took a middle ground and imposed a naval blockade of Cuba. Long story short, it worked.

God used an imperfect man and a history book with a flawed thesis to prevent a war that would have devastated the planet.

In the early 60s, Americans understood the nuclear threat and Christians prayed for Kennedy on a regular basis. When that book fell into his hands, it was an answer to prayer.

Even if you think a President — or other leader — is wrong on every issue, the Bible admonishes us to pray for that person. There is powerful evidence, both Biblical and historical, that God’s intention is for us to pray for our leaders so that we may lead “a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.” (I Timothy 2:2 NASB)

In a few days, we will be given the opportunity to choose our next group of national, state, and local leaders. In our time, when the alternative to peace is so unthinkable, our incentive to pray doubles.

The Bible doesn’t say you have to approve of the leaders’ policies. It says, unequivocally, to pray for them. Pray that they will see the light where they are wrong and repent. Pray they will be given wisdom and good judgment. Don’t pray for the success of wrong or sinful policies, but do pray for the men and women who lead us.

Pray for the upcoming election. Pray that those elected will have an awareness of God; and that they will find good advisers with godly morals. Pray that God will send His Word into all their lives — now more than ever.

We have entered one of the most dangerous periods in world history. So vote! And pray!

Frederick Bastiat in his powerful book, The Law called it the “vicious circle of socialism: the idea of passive mankind and the power of the law being used to propel people by “forced conformity and molding them through dictatorial arrogance and philanthropic tyranny.”

He describes how the law has been perverted by the influence of two entirely different causes: stupid greed and false philanthropy, which is the “fatal tendency of mankind.”

In the West today, most especially in America, to quote Voltaire, “criminals are punished for their crimes, unless when they commit them to the sounds of trumpets.”

Author and Economic Collapse Blogger, Michael Snyder says on his website, he just lost faith in the deeply corrupt legal system and in the Rule of Law in the United States:

I don’t know how any American is going to be able to have faith in our system of justice after this.  We truly do live in a lawless nation, and if the American people elect Hillary Clinton they are willingly choosing lawlessness……

As a law student and then later as an attorney working in Washington D.C., I got to see just how deeply corrupt our legal system has become. But after today, I don’t see how any American can ever have faith in the rule of law again.

If the law does not apply equally to all persons at all times and in all circumstances, we might as well not even have a legal system.

It is indeed impossible to imagine at the very heart of a society a more astounding fact than this: the law has come to be an instrument of injustice. And if this fact brings terrible consequences to the United States, what about in other parts of Africa and Europe where the perversion of law is a principle or a system?

For instance, one of the most dangerous weapons if controlled by members of the power elite is the media. The big five main global media corporations have become major players in altering the politics of almost any country.

They’ve also been able to promote legislations that increase their corporate domination, giving them the power to restrict or abolish regulations that restrain their control.

This gives each of the five corporations and their leaders more communications power than was exercised by any despot or dictatorship in history. They have had the power that no media in past history has ever had, which has been created by new technology and the near uniformity of their political goals.

No imperial ruler in past history had multiple media channels, including television and satellite channels that could permeate entire societies with controlled sights and sounds.

Now what do we do when we are living in a corporate fascist tyranny and big power global elites control the government and write the laws? When will it stop? Anthony C. Sutton in his book, Wall Street and the Rise of Hitler has an answer for us to consider:

It will not stop until we act upon one simple axiom: that the power system continues only so long as individuals want it to continue, and it will continue only so long as individuals try to get something for nothing. The day when a majority of individuals declares or acts as if it wants nothing from the government, declares it will look after its own welfare and interests, then on that day power elites are doomed.

The attraction to “go along” with power elites is the attraction of something for nothing. That is the bait. The Establishment always offers something for nothing; but the something is taken from someone else, as taxes or plunder, and awarded elsewhere in exchange for political support.

We entrust men to make laws with the sanction of the majority, and as result, we have allowed the law to be the instrument of injustice, plunder and lawlessness so that people are further pulled away from God’s laws without any sense of being accountable for any sin or give some thought to the rule of law.

What is Lawlessness?

The dictionary describes Lawlessness as being without law; uncontrolled by a law; unbridled; unruly; unrestrained. It means to be without regard for the principles and regulations governed by a governing authority.

In a biblical and spiritual sense lawlessness is a disregard for God’s laws and established order. This mystery of lawlessness and the antichrist is already at work in America and subsequently around the world. There is greed, evil, corruption; injustice, lawlessness, and a desire to rule over others–all represented at the very highest levels of governments.

Continuing with His sense of progression in His Olivet Discourse, regarding the end of the age, Jesus says, because of false prophets, there will be a turning away from the faith which brings us to the love of the great body of Christ growing cold due to multiplied lawlessness and iniquity. (See Matthew 24:11-12)

Who is to Blame?

It’s the Church of Jesus Christ. The church has lost its prophetic voice and watered down the gospel of Jesus Christ and that’s why the powers of darkness have multiplied and invaded the hearts and minds of all people.

The error that lies at the foundation of this lawlessness of both individual and public moral conscience according to Revivalist Charles Finney, originates, no doubt, in the pulpit. Finney wrote in Decay of Conscience:

If immorality prevails in the land, the fault is ours in a great degree. If there is a decay of conscience, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the public press lacks moral discrimination, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the church is degenerate and worldly, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the world loses its interest in Biblical Christianity or religion, the pulpit is responsible for it.

If Satan rules in the halls of legislation, the pulpit is responsible for it. If our politics become so corrupt that the very foundations of our government are ready to fall away, the pulpit is responsible for it. Let us not ignore this fact, my dear brethren; but let us lay it to heart, and be thoroughly awake to our responsibility in respect to the morals of this nation.

Since there is little teaching on the cross, sin, judgement, hell and heaven, the true prophetic church is being persecuted by the apostate and lukewarm church. As Paul reminds us:

For the time is coming when [people] will not tolerate (endure) sound and wholesome instruction, but, having ears itching [for something pleasing and gratifying], they will gather to themselves one teacher after another to a considerable number, chosen to satisfy their own liking and to foster the errors they hold, And will turn aside from hearing the truth and wander off into myths and man-made fictions. (2 Timothy 4:3-4 AMP)

Inevitably, the kind of preaching that tickles men’s ears will result in lawlessness, disobedience and the love of the great body of Christ will grow cold.

For the mystery of lawlessness (that hidden principle of rebellion against constituted authority) is already at work in the world, [but it is] restrained only until he who restrains is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one (the antichrist) will be revealed and the Lord Jesus will slay him with the breath of His mouth and bring him to an end by His appearing at His coming. (2 Thessalonians 2:7-8 AMP)

Who is the restraining power Paul is speaking of here? It is the personal presence of the Holy Spirit within the church. Therefore, the only hope for America, Britain and the world in general is another Great Spiritual Awakening and true Holy Spirit inspired revival of religion which will bring a renewed conviction of sin and repentance, followed by an intense desire to live in obedience to God.

I still believe the United States is the greatest country on earth. But our country needs help. While have a lot of enemies on the outside, I’m more concerned about the enemies we have on the inside.

As Historian Will Durant wrote, “A great civilization is not conquered from without until it has destroyed itself from within. The essential cause of Rome’s decline lay in her people, her morals. …”

Does that not apply to our country today? How we have strayed. Despite what some revisionists would tell us, our nation really was built on Judeo-Christian values. There is no question about it. But what has started as freedom of religion is now turning into freedom from religion. It seems like so many have gone out of their way to get God out of our courtrooms, out of our classrooms and out of our culture. And as we sow the wind, the Bible says, we reap the whirlwind.

Then we have the breakdown of the family. You can directly connect it to almost any social ill in our nation today. For instance, 63 percent of youth suicides are committed by those from fatherless homes. Ninety percent of all homeless and runaway children come from fatherless homes.

Eight-five percent of youth sitting in prisons today grew up in a fatherless home. It is not just a breakdown of the family; it is the absence of strong male leadership. In no way is that a criticism of women. They have stepped in when men have not stepped up. But it is time for men to step up and be the godly leaders God has called them to be as well.

A family can survive without a nation. But the nation cannot survive without the family.

I know something about coming from a broken home. I have seen it up close and personal. I didn’t have a father when I was growing up. My mother was married and divorced seven times. She was a raging alcoholic who would pass out every night from drinking.

I tremble to think of where I would be today had it not been for the intervention of God in my life when I was a 17-year-old kid. But God did intervene, and that is what needs to happen in our nation as well.

I think of the words of our first president, George Washington, when he warned, “The propitious [favorable] smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a Nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained.”

Then there are the words Peter Marshall, who, as a chaplain of the U.S. Senate, said, “The choice before us is plain: Christ or chaos, conviction or compromise, discipline or disintegration.”

And President Ronald Reagan made this statement: “America needs God more than God needs America. If we ever forget that we are one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under.”

There is only one hope for America today, in my opinion. I don’t think it is a political solution, although there is a place for politics.

I thank God for the men and women, especially those who love the Lord, who want to go into that arena and be a godly influence in our country, because the Bible says, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice” (Proverbs 29:2 NKJV). But the ultimate solution is not political.

I believe the only hope for a real change in our nation is a spiritual awakening. That is what we need to be praying for. America needs a revival.

We throw the world revival around a lot, but what does it mean? It means to restore to the original condition. Have you ever seen a cool classic car, like a totally restored ’57 Chevy Bel Air, cruising down the boulevard? You may have said, “That is art on four wheels. That is a thing of beauty.”

We need to be restored to what we were but also to even more than what we were: what we potentially can be. We need divine intervention. We need a spiritual awakening, and we need to be praying for it.

There is a passage in the Old Testament that was given contextually to the nation Israel. But I believe that in principle, it applies to any nation, including our own.

God said, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV). I have always found it very interesting that God said, “If my people who are called by my name …”

God doesn’t point his finger at the White House; he points his finger at his house. It’s easy for us to say it is the fault of Washington or the fault of Hollywood. But God says that when a nation is breaking down, the problem is “[his] people who are called by [his] name” who need to “humble themselves and pray and seek [his] face.”

I want to address Christian leaders for a moment. If there is a mist in the pulpit, there will be a fog in the pews. If you want to start a fire in the pews, then it has to start in the pulpit. It has to start with you. Do you – do we – need spiritual revival today?

Are we being the godly people we should be? Is there compromise in our lives? God says, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways,” then he “will hear from heaven … will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

That is what we need to be praying for – a spiritual awakening in America today.

As the psalmist said, “Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?” (Psalm 85:6 NKJV). That is my prayer for America today. May the Lord send a mighty spiritual awakening that will turn the hearts of men and women and boys and girls back to him.
