No State “education” can ever replace the role of Family Education

SCHOOLS AS TOOLS-PART 1

Histories

People are suddenly worried about Common Core dumbing down their children with a new experimental educational system when the entire modern educational system has been an experiment of failure and they as long with their children are already dumbed down.

The discovery of a 1912 Eighth Grade examination in Bullitt County Kentucky that few modern Eighth Grade students could pass should have sent shock waves of change through the schools of America. But no one seems to know what to do nor are they willing to do it. Like sheep they bleat their complaints and wait for others to fix the problem.

I have raised sheep in the high deserts of Oregon. I have pointed the way for sheep for decades when they needed a good direction to go. I have been changed by the sheep and they have been changed by the desert. Farm flocks who have lived in fenced fields for generations do not do well on the open range. It is much the same with people and public schools that fence in the minds and emotions of your children.

My wife and I have taught our six children at home for years. Over those years I became a collector of old and new school books. I noticed long before that 1912 test was discovered that there was a difference in the books over time. Vocabulary in higher grades of the 1980’s was previously required in a much lower grade in the 1940’s or 20’s. Math skills in the 5th grade in the 40’s were equal or superior to what was required of the 8th grade student in the 1980’s. And the earlier problems were more pragmatic.

Probably the most alarming change was that the content of the history books was changing. My discovery of history’s alteration began when my young son had read several children’s books on George Washington. I quizzed him as to who this George W. was. I received the typical responses of the first President, a General, married to Martha and of course he had wooden teeth. The answer seemed hollow. This was not who the man was. I felt we should look into this in greater depth.

I found some writings by Washington and began to read them. This is when I discovered I did not know who old George Washington had been either, what he thought and believed. I had been dumbed down. “Read not to contradict and confute, nor to believe and take for granted, but to weigh and consider… Histories make men Wise.”[1]

Deliberate Lies

“The trouble with people isn’t their ignorance-it’s the number of things they know that just ain’t so.” Mark Twain

The more I began to read the actual record of History at its source the more I realized that the truth is not being taught. As I compared the more modern history books with older curriculum I realized that they had gone from basic omission to outright lies. The most unsettling thing was that there seemed to be both a method and a pattern to the distortions of our history.

“History is the torch that is meant to illuminate the past, to guard us against the repetition of our mistakes of other days. We cannot join in the rewriting of history to make it conform to our comfort and convenience.”[2]

To control the people it is essential to keep them ignorant. The best way to keep people ignorant is to give them a degree of knowledge as if it were the whole truth. Pile upon their minds and thoughts a mass of education but leave out those aspects of reality that would give them a grasp of the whole truth. It is a brave new world we live in today. 1984 came and passed us by and we didn’t even notice. Now we are trapped in a mental matrix of lies and half truths, a labyrinth built with bricks of prevarication but mortared together with our own pride.

“To tell deliberate lies while genuinely believing in them, to forget any fact that has become inconvenient, and then, when it becomes necessary again, to draw it back from oblivion for just so long as it is needed… systematically undermines the solidarity of the family…” Orwell, George, Nineteen Eighty-Four.

Could “…our schools have been scientifically designed to prevent over education from Happening?”[3] Would we notice the changes? “An ignorant people are easily betrayed, and a wicked people can never be ruled by the mild influence of their own laws.”[4]

“The Matrix is everywhere… It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.”[5] “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32

Pilate asked Jesus, “What is truth?” The truth is we are a slave to our own pride which keeps us from seeing that we do not already know the truth. No-one can be told what the truth is unless they are willing to believe that they do not already know truth. Humility is key.

People may accept a lie but to deceive the whole world is something the Christian community has been forewarned of and should be forearmed. But are Christians really Christian? Deception can still take place as it did in the times that Jesus preached and walked among us. How could such deception take place and be so universal in its scope?

When men first began to publish Bibles in large numbers and the common man began to read and study their religious history there was a reaction to the this newly acquired knowledge. The people were not as easily controlled when they could begin to think for themselves.

It was quickly realized that printing was here to stay. The book burning that had accompanied the inquisitions and the bloody persecutions of anyone who questioned the exercising authority of the princes or pontiffs of the “world” was no longer a practical solution. A alternative plan was devised. If you can’t beat them join them and subvert the truths which they think they are reading.

The best way to stop reform and protest is to join it and alter its natural course avoiding a righteous conclusion. It was suggested to fight knowledge with more knowledge. The motivation for this plan was not to discover or impart the truth but to maintain power, authority and control over man’s mind by subverting the truth with a seductive distortion and rationally convenient alternative.

“Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.” John 9:41
It is a masterful plan which relies heavily on the avarice and vanity of the individual by ensuring that they have a degree of knowledge. Once men believe they see the truth they may remain more comfortable within the bondage of a lie, even defend it against reason to the death of body and soul.

“The most controversial issues of the twenty-first century will pertain to the ends and means of modifying human behavior and who shall determine them. The first educational question will not be “what knowledge is of the most worth?” but “what kinds of human beings do we wish to produce?” The possibilities virtually defy our imagination.”[6]

PART 2

Right Reason

“Strange times are these in which we live when old and young are taught falsehoods in school. And the one man that dares to tell the truth is called at once a lunatic and fool.” —Plato
We need to awaken and peel back the deception of “world” which has been pulled over our eyes. We need to realize that we have become human resources in a more complete and devastating bondage than Moses redeemed us from in Egypt, more insidious than that which Jesus redeemed us from in the days of Rome.

“Augustus was sensible that mankind is governed by names; nor was he deceived in his expectation, that the senate and people would submit to slavery, provided they were respectfully assured that they still enjoyed their ancient freedom.”[1]

The reason education is so important in the rearing of children is because, “If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be”.[2]
“Throughout history, rulers and court intellectuals have aspired to use the educational system to shape their nations. The model was set out by Plato in The Republic and was constructed most faithfully in Soviet Russia, Fascist Italy, and Nazi Germany…”

“One can see how irresistible a vehicle the schools would be to any social engineer. They represent a unique opportunity to mold future citizens early in life, to instill in them the proper reverence for the ruling culture, and to prepare them to be obedient and obeisant taxpayers and soldiers.”[3]

“The education of all children, from the moment that they can get along without a mother’s care, shall be in state institutions at state expense.” —Karl Marx, The Communist Manifesto.

“By the early twentieth century, the school in fact had expanded its functions into areas not dreamed of in the early part of the previous century… The school [became] a central social agency in urban America. The one theme that ran through all these new school programs was the desire to maintain discipline and order in urban life. Within this framework, the school became a major agency for social control.”[4]

“Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted.” —Vladimir Lenin

“A small number of very passionate American ideological leaders visited Prussia in the first half of the 19th century; fell in love with the order, obedience, and efficiency of its education system; and campaigned relentlessly there after to bring the Prussian vision to these shores.”[5]

These American public school advocates “imported three major ideas … the purpose of state schooling was not intellectual training but the conditioning of children ‘to obedience, subordination, and collective life.’… Second, whole ideas were broken into fragmented ‘subjects’ and school days were divided into fixed periods ‘so that self-motivation to learn would be muted by ceaseless interruptions.’ Third, the state was posited as the true parents of the children”[6]

“The state will take youth and will give to youth its own education and its own upbringing. Your child already belongs to us… What are you?” —Adolf Hitler

“Social control” was the stated objective of the General Education Board (GEB), an institution created by John D. Rockefeller in 1902 that developed and promoted various radical schemes to reconfigure American society through the public school system.

“Education is a weapon, whose effect depends on who holds it in his hands and at whom it is aimed.” —Joseph Stalin

Fred Gates defined the GEB’s intent when he said: “In our dreams, we have limitless resources, and the people yield themselves with perfect docility to our molding hand. The present educational conventions fade from our minds; and, unhampered by tradition, we work our own good will upon a grateful and responsive rural folk.”[7]

“Parents give up their rights when they drop the children off at public school.” —Melinda Harmon, Federal Judge, 1996

The Truth

“We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth… For my part, I am willing to know the worst truth; to know the worst; and to provide for it.”[8]

What is truth and what is the lie? What has been removed and what has been supplanted? How does one find the truth of our History and where can we learn what has been hidden? We cannot fix a problem unless we admit there is one.

“During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary Act.”[9]

“For 140 years this nation has tried to impose objectives downward from a lofty command center made up of ‘experts,’ a central elite of social engineers, It hasn’t worked. It won’t work…. It doesn’t work because its fundamental premises are mechanical, antihuman, and hostile to family life. Lives can be controlled by machine education but they will always fight back with weapons of social pathology: drugs, violence, self-destruction, indifference, and the symptoms I see in the children I teach… It destroys communities by relegating the training of children to the hands of certified experts – and by doing so it ensures our children cannot grow up fully human”[10] becoming instead mindless automatons programmed by the state’s change agents.

Rather than instilling in youngsters an appreciation for individual liberty, the system has brought to life “the ancient pharaonic dream of Egypt: compulsory subordination for all… Schools teach exactly what they are intended to teach and they do it well: how to be a good Egyptian and remain in your place in the pyramid.” “It is a great triumph of compulsory government monopoly mass-schooling that among even the best of my fellow teachers, and among even the best of my students’ parents, only a small number can imagine a different way to do things,” laments John Taylor Gatto.[11]

To restore sanity to American education, to rescue the embattled family, and to preserve and perpetuate individual freedom, “a different way to do things” must be found. Like Aladdin and the magician who gave new lamps for old we have exchange the truth of history for the fables of liars and we have become ignorant of our own heritage, awakening to find our blessing swept away in the night as we slumbered.

With this new learning came new ideas, “As long as the child breathes the poisoned air of nationalism, education in world-mindedness can produce only precarious results. As we have pointed out, it is frequently the family that infects the child with extreme nationalism. The school should therefore use the means described earlier to combat family attitudes that favor jingoism.”[12]

“Regardless of motives, the people who foisted state education on us have committed a grave offense…. Using a variety of strategies, we must reclaim the right to raise our children and to help them educate themselves. In a fundamental sense, that is the American way,” contends Sheldon Richman.

“The future of education, and of America as a free society, depends on the liberation of the American family from the grip of the public school,” There is no more important task, Richman concludes, than to build “a wall of separation between school and state” and restore a system of “family-based learning” in which children can develop their God- given abilities as free individuals.

The idea of mass institutionalized education is a modern phenomena. It has been a social experiment the result of which will be judged in the century to come. We live today in a time of decision. We must consider the viability, practicality and wisdom of education in institutions. God created the family and education was the right and responsibility of the family as a unit. Today, the system of institutional education is often blamed for all the social ills of society. But is this fair? Is it the responsibility of schools to accomplish a job that was once the exclusive realm of the parents and the family?

Some of the top professional educators and psychologists believe the problem is not simply with the efforts of teachers and administrations. The problem is that institutional education is fundamentally flawed. In order to educate children en mass one must set aside the natural parameters of child development. Institutional education abandons by its macrocosm the natural environment of child development and there is no way to restore what is lost with even the best efforts of professional educators, more money or advanced study programs.

Parents have neglected their God given rights and responsibilities by turning their children over to institutions. “[T]he moral strength of a nation is only as strong as the moral strength of its individuals.”[13] Individuals are a product of the family.

“If we want better people to make a better world, then we will have to begin where people are made — in the family.”[14]

The modern family unit struggles as it has for centuries to grow and develop. Parents raise their children according to the standards they themselves have been taught or have come to believe is best for their family. In the last century families have undergone an ever increasing degeneration and disintegration. Divorced, broken and single parent homes have been linked with an increase in under achievement, antisocial behavior, suicide and violence.

“Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.” Ezek. 16:49

The sin of Sodom and Gomorrah was in part that they did not strengthen the poor. “The poor” were not merely poor financially but also poor in virtue and strength. Virtues like faith, hope and charity, patience, love and understanding are the strength of the character of mankind. Public education is welfare and it weakens the poor.

“Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons’ sons;” Deut. 4:9

The New World Order: Setting the Stage for the Son of Perdition

tower_of_babel__by_pieter_bruegel__1563__by_nixseraph-d5ttxj7-e1423592066668-1As dark clouds of full blown persecution in the West grow closer, world leaders are once again calling for a new world order to prevent mass destruction through organizations like the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission, the Bilderberg Group and many others.

These have been reported to be in control of the economic and monetary affairs of the world. Their members are in government, education, banking, military, manufacturing and the media. Their goal is to bring about the initial stages of a “one world government” socialist system.

This group of global power brokers must form a world government, a worldwide currency and a world religion. Only this “trinity” will make it possible to bring the “order out of chaos” raging among the nations. It will be replaced by centralized control of all foreign and domestic policies.”

In short, it will be a Global New World Order dictatorship. In fact if at all you oppose their plan you will be considered the weakest link and you will be told goodbye. A mere 50 years ago, such a concept would have been labelled apocalyptic, and only Bible scholars would have taken notice.

Everyone outside this New World Order will posses no rights whatsoever. Some have speculated that the United Nations International Law will replace the Constitution and Bill of Rights. George Bush I in his Gulf War speech spoke the words New World Order over and over, publicly announcing to the world what had been inaugurated in 1776. An effort Bush made clear was to “forge for ourselves and for future generations a New World Order…in which a credible United Nations can use its role to fulfill the promise and vision of the U.N,’s founders. Following this initial statement, Bush addressed the Congress adding:

What is at stake is more than one small country (Kuwait), it is a big idea—a New World Order, where diverse nations are drawn together in common cause to achieve the universal aspirations of mankind…Such is a world worthy of our struggle, and worthy of our children’s future…the the long-held promise of a New World Order.

Recently, Dr. Henry Kissinger who served as national security adviser and secretary of state under Presidents Nixon and Ford, reiterated the assembly of this New World Order in an article adapted from his book “World Order.” He writes:

Libya is in civil war, fundamentalist armies are building a self-declared caliphate across Syria and Iraq and Afghanistan’s young democracy is on the verge of paralysis. To these troubles are added a resurgence of tensions with Russia and a relationship with China divided between pledges of cooperation and public recrimination. The concept of order that has underpinned the modern era is in crisis.

The search for world order has long been defined almost exclusively by the concepts of Western societies. In the decades following World War II, the U.S.—strengthened in its economy and national confidence—began to take up the torch of international leadership and added a new dimension. A nation founded explicitly on an idea of free and representative governance, the U.S. identified its own rise with the spread of liberty and democracy and credited these forces with an ability to achieve just and lasting peace. The traditional European approach to order had viewed peoples and states as inherently competitive; to constrain the effects of their clashing ambitions, it relied on a balance of power and a concert of enlightened statesmen.

The prevalent American view considered people inherently reasonable and inclined toward peaceful compromise and common sense; the spread of democracy was therefore the overarching goal for international order. Free markets would uplift individuals, enrich societies and substitute economic interdependence for traditional international rivalries. This effort to establish world order has in many ways come to fruition. A plethora of independent sovereign states govern most of the world’s territory. The spread of democracy and participatory governance has become a shared aspiration if not a universal reality; global communications and financial networks operate in real time. Read more

According to Revelation chapter 13, the new world order will be the final empire that will unite the whole world politically, socially, economically and spiritually. Globalism has always been the long-term goal of the occult religions. The plan for a one world government has been tried thousands of years before the fall of the Tower of Babel. This is the same Babylonian system of government and economics that Nimrod tried to build which has been described in the Book of Genesis:

That he built his kingdom in the land of Babylonia with the cities of Babylon, Erech, Akkad, and Calneh. From there he expanded his territory to Assyria, building the cities of Nineveh, Rehoboth-ir, Calah, and Resen (the great city located between Nineveh and Calah). (Genesis 10:8-12)

The Bible says that Nimrod was the first heroic warrior on earth and was the greatest hunter in the world to the extent that his name became proverbial. People at that time used to say that “this man is like Nimrod, the greatest hunter in the world.” He was an ensnarer of men by fraud and force. Some have considered that “he was called a mighty hunter because all his days he took provinces by force, and spoiling others of their substance.”

He not only had skills in hunting beasts, but he also hunted men so that he could establish an imperial kingdom by power and tyranny. The men who put themselves under Nimrod’s dominion were slaves to materialism which leads to debt. So his power was dependent upon making slaves out of covetous men. (See Proverbs 22:7)

I heard a teaching from Rabbi Daniel Lapin on his website show, Tower of Power-Decoding the secrets of Babel. He was talking about the Tower of Babel and it’s relation to tyranny through the use of materialism and conformity. Nimrod led men to build the Tower of Babel, but that was not his initial goal. His first goal was to just build bricks.

He said: “Let us make brick.” He was known as a hunter of men. The bricks were important because when people built cities in those days they used stones. Stones were all unique and varied in color, shape, size and weight. No two were the same. To bond the bricks he would use mortar, the Hebrew root of the word mortar is the same as materialism.

In other words, Nimrod set out as a hunter of men, to build a society to rival God. He would hold his society together with materialism and materialist concepts like debt. When you look at today’s society, we are not any different.

Now the whole earth had one language and one speech. And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar, and they dwelt there. Then they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They had brick for stone, and they had asphalt for mortar. And they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.”But the LORD came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. And the LORD said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them. Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.” So the LORD scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they ceased building the city. Therefore its name is called Babel, because there the LORD confused the language of all the earth; and from there the LORD scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth. (Genesis 11:1-9 NKJV)

Of course God was displeased with Nimrod and He confused them and scattered them all over the world. After centuries upon centuries of authoritarian rule and serfdom man was not united under the concept of individualism, freedom and liberty until probably during the reformation and subsequent founding of the United States of America. Now, the world is building a new Tower of Babel in the form of a New World Order.

This Babylonian system wants individual sovereignty to disappear, no religious freedom, no personal freedom, no right to own a home, no right to your own children and no right to run your own business. And these leaders are saying in effect, come; let us build bricks using mortar as materialism to give us identity and self-worth and this will replace God in our lives. It is impossible.

So we need to be encouraged because all these conspiracies from Nimrod to the present day have one thing in common: they all failed from the beginning of their conspiracy against God. They will all lose in the end. This is why the prophet Isaiah warns us:

Don’t call everything a conspiracy, like they do, and don’t live in dread of what frightens them. Make the Lord of Heaven’s Armies holy in your life. He is the One you should fear. He is the One who should make you tremble. (Isaiah 8:12–13 NLT)

The Great Tribulation: What is it all about?

resizedimage550355.templemodel-1After a break from my brief commentaries to the prophetic guide to the end times, I have decided to continue with the numerous biblical prophecies that are setting the stage for the return of Jesus Christ. The prophets of both the Old and New Testaments, as well as well Jesus Himself, prophesied that the Great Tribulation would come on planet Earth and it would be a time such as has never been experienced before, nor will it be repeated.

Jeremiah called it “the time of Jacob’s distress (Jeremiah 30:7) Likewise Daniel called it “a time of distress,” and he prophesied that there shall be a time of trouble, straitness, and distress such as never was since there was a nation till that time….., (Daniel 12:1). Isaiah says, it will be a “day of reckoning” for all the nations of the world (Isaiah 2:10-17) Zephaniah says that “all the earth will be devoured in the fire of God’ jealousy” (Zephaniah 1:18).

The prophet Daniel defined the length of Tribulation in Daniel 7:25 as of “a time and times and the dividing of time” which is a reference to a period of three and a half years. The Hebrew expression “times” according to one Biblical scholar refers to a period of 360 days. The expression “times” refers to a period of two years (720 days). The expression “the dividing of time” refers to half a year 180 days or 6 months. Therefore the total period of time indicated in Daniel 7:25 is 360 + 720 + 180 days, which equals 1,260 days, or three and a half biblical years.

The Tribulation period appears again in Daniel 12:7 and Revelation 12:14. Daniel’s prophesied that…. “he shall enter into a strong and firm covenant with the many for one week [seven years]. And in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and offering to cease [for the remaining three and one-half years]; and upon the wing or pinnacle of abominations [shall come] one who makes desolate, until the full determined end is poured out on the desolator.” (9:27 AMP)

According to the Telegraph, a retired farmer has spent more than 30 years building an enormous scale model of Herod’s temple – and it is still not finished. Alec Garrard, 78, from Norfolk has dedicated a massive 33,000 hours to constructing the ancient temple, which measures a 20ft by 12ft. (22.2967 square metres) Jerusalem last Temple was destroyed by the Romans in A.D. 70 and the Muslim Dome of the Rock currently sits on the Temple Mount.

Why is the world so fascinated by the building of the Third Temple? There many reasons but one of them could be the unfulfilled biblical prophecies that surround this Temple. Jesus Christ confirmed Daniel’s prediction that the Anti Christ will defile the Third Temple during the last days by saying that,

So when you see the appalling sacrilege [the abomination that astonishes and makes desolate], spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the Holy Place—let the reader take notice and ponder and consider and heed…..” (Matthew 24:15)

In his second letter to the Thessalonians, the apostle Paul said,

Let no one deceive or beguile you in any way, for that day will not come except the apostasy comes first [unless the predicted great falling away of those who have professed to be Christians has come], and the man of lawlessness (sin) is revealed, who is the son of doom (of perdition), who opposes and exalts himself so proudly and insolently against and over all that is called God or that is worshiped, [even to his actually] taking his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming that he himself is God. (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4)

The apostle Paul says that although the Lord’s return is not imminent, the mystery of lawlessness (that hidden principle of rebellion against constituted authority) is already at work in the world. He says one day God will remove the restraint, but it will only be a short time, as we’ve seen we can assume it will be three and a half years, after that Jesus Christ will return.

So in the right context Paul was telling the Thessalonians’ believers to wait patiently and remain busy. Paul warned that human wickedness will come to its climax in the person of a world ruler supernaturally and empowered by Satan himself. Paul called this ruler the “man of sin” or the “man of lawlessness” and the “son of perdition.”

The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. (2 Thessalonians 2:9-10)

The apostle John calls him in 1 John 2:18 the “antichrist.” He tells us to be aware of the spirit of antichrist spirit that’s at work in trying to deceive if possible the elect. “Boys (lads), it is the last time (hour, the end of this age). And as you have heard that the antichrist [he who will oppose Christ in the guise of Christ] is coming, even now many antichrists have arisen, which confirms our belief that it is the final (the end) time.” (1 John 2:18) In the Book of Revelation 13:4, he is called “the beast” According to Paul this ruler will actually claim to be God and will demand universal worship.

In those days of darkness mankind will voluntarily believe the great lie that salvation may be obtained through good behavior. This philosophy is accepted today as “politically correct.” The continuous success of the world in relation to peace and prosperity will reinforce humanity’s belief that they should be centered on themselves instead of the Savior

Shlomo ben Yitzchak (Jewish year 4800-4865 or AD 1040-1105) the Jewish French commentator on the Bible popularly known as Rashi, commented on Daniel’s prophecy regarding the “abomination of desolation” that an idol which is as mute as a rock, statue, icon or effigy would contaminate the holiness of the sanctuary and replace the daily sacrifice of the Temple.

Compare this with the prophecy found in the book of Revelation that states that the False Prophet will be permitted [also] to impart the breath of life into the beast’s image, so that the statue of the beast could actually talk and cause to be put to death those who would not bow down and worship the image of the beast. (Revelation 13:15; 20:4) When the antichrist manifests himself in the holy place, Jesus tells us to act and to act very fast:

Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. (Matthew 24:16-18 NKJV)

He speaks about a flight so fast that there will be no time to stop and take anything. It will be a hasty flight that even pregnant women and women who will be nursing babies in those days would have many earthy troubles. Jesus further says: For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. (Matthew 24:21)

Having said that, I also believe as mentioned in previous posts; we might endure a great measure of suffering in the coming days. Already many devoted Bible believing Christians are undergoing intense persecution.

We should not forget that it is a verifiable fact that in many conflicts involving Muslims the West’s intervention has led to the persecution of Christians, and in some cases, decimated the indigenous Christian population in entire regions like the Middle East.

Hundreds of Iraq Christians have been slain, children massacred, businesses looted, churches burnt to the ground and many other indescribable atrocities. These Christians are fully aware they are being pursued and persecuted by demonic forces—all in the name of the “new world order.”

If you preach to these believers that all Christians are going to be ruptured before the tribulation comes, I don’t think they would believe you because according to them there are already in a tribulation. As a matter of fact many believers in different parts of the world believe the antichrist is now in full control and they are resisting him to the point of losing their lives.

It is a very frightening scenario when you consider the impending tribulation that is about to happen first to the Jew then to the Gentile. We should understand that it is always to the Jew first, then to the Gentile. Jesus goes on to tell us than unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened. (Matthew 24:22) Now who are the elect? Those who are who have been chosen by God. What then shall we conclude?

Here the apostle Paul gives us an answer: He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love. (Ephesians 4:1) Jesus Himself said: Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. (John 15:16)

Jesus says unless the Great tribulation is shortened no human being would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. The Bible tells us in the Book of Revelation that a great multitude of Gentle believers many of them martyrs –who have come out of the great tribulation.

Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?”And I said to him, “Sir, you know. So he said to me, these are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. (Revelation 7:13-14)

What must be noted is that the destruction of the temple by the Romans in 70 AD did not fit the prophetic image of the “mute abomination” or the “abomination of desolation.”There is only one Great Tribulation that is why Jesus said it will never happen again. Though there many differing views among many prophesy teachers about the timing of the Great Tribulation, and of course there was a great tribulation when the city of Jerusalem was destroyed. The Temple has also been defiled more than once.

During the time of Antiochus Epiphanes IV a pig was sacrificed on the altar and the altar was desecrated. At the time of the Roman Emperor Hadrian, a statue to the Roman god Zeus erected on the Temple Mount, but many of the signs that Jesus spoke about were not fulfilled at that time.

There are two main signs that would precede the end of this age and the Great tribulation. Jesus said the Gospel will be preached throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then will come the end, and that we might see the Abomination of Desolation. (Matthew 24:14-15)

Jesus said, Repent (change your mind for the better, heartily amend your ways, with abhorrence of your past sins), for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. (Matthew 4:17) The message is an urgent call for both personal and national repentance in light of God warning that the Day of Judgment and the Kingdom of God is at hand. Jesus is coming to establish the eternal Kingdom of God on earth.

Are we Progressing Toward God’s Economic Judgment?

800px-sao_paulo_stock_exchangeIn his sequel, called of “The Mystery of the Shemitah,” the messianic rabbi reveals the shocking discovery that the five great economic crashes of the last 40 years – 1973, 1980, 1987, 2001 and 2008 – have all occurred in Shemitah years – those God set apart as sabbath years.

The new book has rocketed to become an instant bestseller, listed at No. 8 overall on Amazon.com, and No. 1 in Amazon’s Christian prophecies section. Cahn was taken to the hospital with pneumonia over the Labor Day holiday weekend, postponing appearances for the promotion of “The Mystery of the Shemitah,” although he had been able to make a scheduled appearance on “The Sid Roth Show.”

As he pointed out in his earlier book, in 2001 and 2008 they coincided precisely with the exact end of the Shemitah year on the Hebrew calendar day of Elul 29.

As he did with his previous book, Cahn announced his findings on Sid Roth’s “It’s Supernatural” TV program – even before the book was officially released forsale by bookstores nationwide today

What does it all mean?

Cahn summed up his message by saying, “America is progressing toward God’s judgment.” According to the Bible, the Shemitah year was set aside as a blessing for the nation of Israel. Like the weekly Sabbath, the Shemitah year would be a time of rest for the land and for the agricultural society.

There would be no sowing and reaping. Instead, God would provide food miraculously for the people, as He did during the Exodus from Egypt. Leviticus 25:4 says: “But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the Lord: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.”

However, Cahn points out, if the Shemitah was not observed by the people, it would become a curse, as described later in Leviticus chapter 25. That’s exactly what happened, Cahn says in 586 B.C., a Shemitah year, when the Temple fell and Judah went into captivity in Babylon for 70 years.

It’s no mystery that of “The Mystery of the Shemitah” comes out just before the next Shemitah cycle begins Sept. 25, 2014 – ending Sept. 13, 2015. Cahn explains the Shemitah can has several meanings. It can mean a “release” – and in ancient Israel debts were canceled and land returned to its original owners. But it can also mean “to fall, to collapse, to shake,” he says. But the Shemitah seems to be affecting the U.S. economy throughout much of the nation’s history.

The eight greatest postwar economic crashes are all mysteriously connected to a biblical Sabbath year pattern known in Hebrew as “the Shemitah,” reveals the book – evidence certain to rock the world of financial speculators, stock market traders and economists.

Among the stunning findings of the author who found jaw-dropping links between the 9/11 terrorist attack and an otherwise obscure biblical passage, Isaiah 9:10, is that 100 percent of the worst U.S. economic calamities since World War II are all lined to the “Shemitah,” the biblical Sabbath year, its wake or the biblical month of Tishri in which the “Shemitah” falls.

But more than that – all of the great economic crashes in U.S. history, including the Great Depression, line up with Shemitah years.

“It has been affecting everything in our lives,” says Cahn. “There’s no end to it. It’s amazing. It’s precise. It’s down to the days, the hours, the minutes, even the seconds.”

“I have to tell you, economically speaking, this new book by Jonathan Cahn is one of the scariest things I have ever read,” said Joseph Farah, producer of “The Isaiah 9:10 Judgment,” the bestselling documentary film made with the author about the subject matter of “The Harbinger.” “If ‘The Harbinger’ got your attention, ‘The Mystery of the Shemitah’ will have you on your face praying.”

In 1931, a solar eclipse took place on Sept. 12 – the end of a “Shemitah” year. Eight days later, England abandoned the gold standard, setting off market crashes and bank failures around the world. It also ushered in the greatest month-long stock market percentage crash in Wall Street history.

In 1987, a solar eclipse took place Sept. 23 – again the end of a “Shemitah” year. Less than 30 days later came “Black Monday” the greatest percentage crash in Wall Street history.

Is Cahn predicting doom and gloom on Sept. 13, 2015? He’s careful to avoid a prediction, saying, “In the past, this ushered in the worst collapses in Wall Street history. What will it bring this time? Again, as before, the phenomenon does not have to manifest at the next convergence. But, at the same time, and again, it is wise to take note.”

To top it off, “Shemitah” years are also grouped in sevens – with the 50th year being a year of jubilee – or trumpet blast.

“The jubilee was something of a super Shemitah,” writes Cahn. “It was the Shemitah taken to a new level. In the year of the Shemitah the land rested – so too in the Year of Jubilee. In the year of the Shemitah came release. But in the Year of Jubilee the release took on new meaning. It was not simply the letting go of land or debt. In the jubilee, slaves and prisoners were set free. It was thus the year of liberty.”

While no one is certain when the year of jubilee is, Cahn presents evidence that the next one may coincide with the end of the next Shemitah year – again Sept. 13 on the Gregorian calendar.

Cahn also looks at the five greatest financial turning points of the past 40 years and finds they are connected to the Shemitah cycle.

As he puts it, “From the 40-year period beginning in 1973, every single one of the five greatest financial and economic peaks and collapses have converged, clustered and taken place according to the set time of the Shemitah.”

Something very much more than natural is indeed going on,” concludes the understated Cahn. “And the signs of the phenomenon all point to the same ancient biblical mystery. If the collapse of the world’s stock markets were an act of crime, the Shemitah would have long ago been indicted for the evidence left at the crime scene. In its numbers, its connections, its convergences, its percentages, its magnitude and its consistency, the amount of fingerprints covering the financial cataclysms of modern times is overwhelming.”

Likewise, “The Mystery of the Shemitah” is somewhat overwhelming too. The economic coincidences are only part of the story. The book also explores the rise and fall of kingdoms and their connections with the Shemitah cycles – its connections with World War I, World War II and the Cold War.

But Cahn is careful not to predict what will happen in the coming Shemitah year. “The phenomenon may manifest in one cycle and not in another and then again in the next,” he writes. “And the focus of the message is not date-setting but the call of God to repentance and return. At the same time, something of significance could take place, and it is wise to note the times.”

Cahn also notes the fact that 2014 and 2015 are marked by a series of blood moons – a pattern that began on Passover 2014 and will conclude on the Feast of Tabernacles in 2015, as discovered by Pastor Mark Biltz, author of “Blood Moons” and the inspiration for a documentary of the same name.

In his first letter to the Thessalonians, the apostle Paul tells us  not to spurn the gifts and utterances of the prophets [do not depreciate prophetic revelations nor despise inspired instruction or exhortation or warning].But test and prove all things [until you can recognize] what is good; [to that] hold fast. (1 Thessalonians 5:20-21 AMP)
